Does the "blur" effect work on that "off white" sketch pad paper or does it only work on white paper? Love your videos! 😊
@LiveArtsyVibes17 күн бұрын
Hi Blondie!° first of all, thankyou for your kind words!!! So the effect will work. Ofcourse I t depends on how dramatic the paper colour is ... then you would need to adjust the tones slightly... but drawing on the off white should be fine!!! I mean.. if you REALLY want to you can choose a slightly brighter shade. It you have the range... but it's not mission critical!!! The most important thing is.... enjoy the process my friend!!

Ok, so at 2:21, my wild imagination saw an apartment block in the Flintstones era. I would probably expand on that and use earthy/rock colours to fill in the rest. 😉

Adorable. Can't wait to get my paint pens. My daughter is buying me a set as a late birthday present. Q: which paper do you recommend when working with paint pens? Thanks.
@LiveArtsyVibes22 күн бұрын
Yay!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!! So, paper is a funny thing - generally any art paper should be good enough!! Yoy can also get 'water colour' or 'acrylic paint' sheets in a a3 or a4 size. Generally these are thicker, close to 300gsm rather then the traditional art diary which is more like 110 - 170gsm (they can vary and there are so many options!!!) For me, I noticed that some brands of marker are a little more 'watery' so it grazed the paper slightly and crinkled the lesser GSM slightly. I use surfpaints for all types of paper and no paper has been damaged in the process!!!
@LiveArtsyVibes22 күн бұрын
Long story short - depending on what yoy are looking for as a result - you can use it on normal art paper... to thicken watercolour paper and even canvas ofcourse!! I alwayssssss go to stores like bigw and kmart to see what they have, but alot of the time the dollar store is just fine too!!! Ofcourse if you want a quality selection you can go to eckersleys or officeworks!! Hope this helps xoxoxo
@grannym288022 күн бұрын
@LiveArtsyVibes yes, thank you. I Believe the pens are coming from Eckersleys. We have almost nothing where I live (Bribie Island) so daughter ordered online. 🧡

@@LiveArtsyVibes it would have to be similar to how blue and red make our eyes glitch already a little. It's why 35 is red and blue, it actually can give some people headaches. I remember tumblr peeps complaining the blue and red together looked trippy and gave them headaches.
