Floor is just amazing. There's no other way to put it. Voice of an angel, with the power of a hurricane. She was made for a band like Nightwish. No matter what Tuomas writes, or has written, Floor is equal to the challenge (and then some).

wonderful voice of Nightwish, a group I met by chance in 2007... when he was already successful in the genre. In my opinion she followed the previous singers in great style typical of this fantastic group.... nightwish....great music...great style...forever🪐🌌🌠🌘🎸🎹🎼❤

What I like about her high notes is that she has a lot of bottom. Usually when singers go that high they lose a lot of fullness but she still has it which is really impressive.

Nice compilation here. Glad to say I'm only just now hearing this lady. At 40..... I guess I really have been bubbleing. Not watching TV can be a blessing and a curse.... Glad because I was just starting to think life wasn't going to get any better and now I see there is infinite betterment to be had. No lie. My favourite parts here are those TV shows lounge performances where everyone has that look of 'Oh so this is a real singer then' haaha.... Bring back opera, right? Food for the soul ;()

Wacken 2013. That's a mark likely never to be surpassed.

Floor has a nice and clean tone to her voice but 95% of what is shown in the video here is not "gasm-worthy". The only time she shines in these clips, is when she shings Ever Dream but even then, Marko was not allowed to sing along because this would have probably kicked her out of the key (like it always happened to Tarja and Anette when Marko joined them for the last part of the song). And please Floor fans; stop saying she can sing opera. Nope, her "opera voice" is very weak in the "phantom of the opera clip" you can see here in the video and this is totally ok because her focus is on pop but it shows that she was mainly invited to sing with this grandpa because she is famous and not because of her voice. Sad, because this took opportunity away from real classical singers. For instance, her note at 24:04 sounds like a comedy skit. Overall, I have to say that she plays it too safe. Yes this will preserve her voice but I feel that every Nightwish song she performs (except for Ever Dream) should be played with a higher key. She is basically on the same level of Ava Max which is nice. As I said, pretty voice, clean vocals, good control, Floor has knowledge about her voice but she stays below her lane and also doesn't seem to posess unique features to her singing which is shown in the "ghost love score" clip of this video here, where Floor sounds like a Filipino karaoke star, which means, great, flawless vocals but you might as well listen to an ai generated studio version.

Its not only about how high someone can sing. Its what you can do within that range. What dynamic range (power), colouring, emotional range, vocal techniques, styles, stage presence determine the greatness of a singer. Floor Jansen has all of that in spades.
