When I was kid and I hadn’t learned to play guitar yet (maybe 40 years ago…) I thought mark was very strange with that headband! Just a few years later he became my oracle and I didn’t see that headband but only his hands, hoping to play his solo at my best!

I wouldn’t say this is the best version of this solo, but has some interesting noodling for sure, particularly at 3:03 where it sounds like he hits the wrong double stop. Best was the Wembley 85 version imho because the crescendo builds so lyrically and is note perfect.

永恆的回憶

Sydney 1986 . It was the last concert after a year of touring playing something like 275 concerts . The band was at its absolute peak , the concert was televised around Australia and anyone with a VCR taped it . Mark was on fire and finding it easy with the band as tight as this . They were making each song new in some way - the solos had evolved and they seemed to be enjoying the performance especially with the thought of going home after giving us everything they had . It was fabulous :) This must be up there as the best version .
