Is Pine Bluff in financial disaster?

No hope for Pine Bluff. It is certainly not a city of progress.

How are things in Pine Bluff? Last time I was there it was a disaster. Looks like a bomb hit the place.

"New St. Hurricane's 'No Parking Sign' request is not for the entirety of Ohio St.. But Just 1-2 driver's car lengths at all entrance/exits the length of New St. Hurricanes Parking lot areas on Ohio St.. It is a safety viewing request to provide drivers exiting proper viewing. From parked vehicles at the entrance exits that are obstructing driver's vision! We have had one accident within the 2024 year due to this obstruction issue."

I'm so sorry to the people of Pine Bluff that they are continuously subjected to John Fenley. I can't imagine a worse fate.

Urban Renewal agencies all over this country have taken much loved property ,lifestyles and displaced upwards of 200,000, families more than once . MANY TIMES and normally is the case where business property purchased by people who were and not rich saved for years to purchase business property after others felt it needed more than they wanted to spend to repair and restore . Whereas this was often only at that time affordable for BLACK PEOPLE TO PURCHASE . After have hundreds of years where blacks were not considered to be citizens ,. therefore it was illegal for them tp buy or sale property ,any kind of property . AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR OF THIS BEING THE ORDER OF THE DAY .. Then when Blacks were allowed to purchase property . Often if not always they never were able to receive financers to assist . THEREBY they now as in recent years have to wait often to others to purchase URBAN RENEWAL; HAS BEEN USED TO TAKE POSSESSION OF PROPERTIES AND THEREBY THEN ,build and then close businesess before blacks could purchase for cash . NOW AF TER ALL THAT THEY OFTEN THE US ALLOWS Urban renewal agencies take the VERY LAST CHANCE MANY HAVER TO PURCHASE BUSINESS PROPERTY AND OFTEN HOMES OF THEIR CHOICE .

UPON visiting The City of Pine Bluff,Ark. City Clerks Office to view the agreement /contract between the City ,Urban Renewal and Simmons / GO FORWARD . i WAS TOLD BY THAT OFFICE THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY AGREEMENT . that I would need to visit with either of them . Is it reasonable ,legal or ethical for the City of Pine bluff ,Arkansas not to have an agreement or contract . .The city tore down a pavillion recently built to be used by the public at no charge . Many civic events and personal performance were held there . And the CITY PUT MILLIONS OF DOLLARS INTO THE HANDS OF URBAN RENEWALALONG SIDE THE PROPERTY AFOREMENTIONED . Where is the original agreement /contract ,who signed them on behalf of the parties mentioned .

It's so interesting that my comments are consistently censored at these meetings. The record should show that I presented evidence of perjury in the day to day operations of the code enforcement department.

Including the Mayor, why should anyone vote for you? I never see anyone of you in the community. I never see anyone campaigning. Are you taking the voters of the city for granted? There's not a ward in the City of Pine Bluff that is not blighted. What are you doing for your ward? Isn't each of you responsible for a particular ward? Shouldn't your ward be a reflection of you as a person? I suggest that the city start enforcing littering and parking policies. Also, what happened to the street sweepers? What is the city culture identity? The citizens of Pine Bluff need to hold the Mayor and the Council members accountable, but we as citizens of Pine Bluff should be held accountable, too. I will concede that there are some positive improvements that are happening.

Dollar tree is moving and closing the other store according to Mayor Shirley Washington . 1:40 CONTINUING 1:47 L EVER SPEAKS ABOUT TRUSTING AFRICAN AMERICAINS might be contributing to the way we and AFRICANS HAVE BEEN TREATED . the top layer don't live where ? Forced negotiations to get $500,000,.00 returmed to the city after Municipal League forced negotiations . Company from HARRISON ARKANSAS WHERE THE KKK HEADQUARTERS IFOR THE US is .over $350.000.00 going where . There was a business who bidded $40.000.00 for the job . Unemployment so high here and none of that money being used to employ any or all persons from this community is a reason to be concerned Back to Dollar Tree located across from the new bank ,they now have two stores on HARDING AVE . where is the grocery store that was considering located on same street . WHAT was the new moratorium on box stores what was that all about ? This meeting wreaks with concerns that all should take notice of . WE NEED JOBS BENEFITS ,MONEY ,HOW CAN THIRTY ,THIRTY FIVE YEAR OLD FAMILIY PERSONS get going without the monies we spend often OUTSIDE THE LOCAL INVESTMENTS. Cheerleading for money to be spent in this manner begs for scrutiny . Look how long Brown talks about the way money is spent at 1;30.00 ready to go home ,spend this money and go home we are ready . How can we spend this money locally never comes out .

This first city council meeting is being held in the previous county librarY. . Since the pandemic most council meetings were held at the Pine Bluff Convention center in a banquet hall . This building previously had a very bad flooding problem and the library often closed for sometimes a week or more so the carpet could be cleaned and treated for mildew . Newly renovated to be named after Kevin Collins ,an officer who was killed in the line of duty while attemiting to make an arrest at a local hotel .THIS MEETING WAS THE FIRST SEEN BY MANY of this nature . Why ? because their was nothing on the agenda as ordinaces or resolutions , ALL COMMITEES gave an update on their committees .and any info or change were up for discussion . A LONG TTERM RESIDENT gave the prayer and any person wanted to speak was given 3 minutes . There was no mention on time restraints but while two speakers spoke ,time restraints were mentioned . A PERSON began to speak about police transparency concerns ,however she soon stopped because she saw Chief Denise Richardson was in attendance and said realizing that she decided she would speak to her in person . . As a resident of this city I began to speak and was asked to speak up because it seemed that their was possibly a problem with sound ,electronically . I began by asking a question . after saying I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT LAW PRACTICES , I ASKED in the last 30 years what BLACK Attorney stands out in your mind . Saying for older persons it would be WILEY BRANTON WHOM practiced her 50 years ago and left went up to the east and became a prestigous Judge I DID NOT MENTION Honorable George Howard 3 which became the first Black federal judge . I SAID WHO IN THE LAST 30 YEARS what Black attorney stands out in the 30 years ? I WAS ATTEMPTING TO SAY SOMETHING FOR REFLECTION . i said many Black A TTORNEYS HAVE PRACTICED HERE ,BUT ALTHOUGH THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL ALTHOUGH THEY WERE ETHICAL AND ALTHOUGH THEY PASSED THE BAR ,BUT many have not continued to practice here . Now three minutes is about up / so I HAD TO HURRY . Saying years ago their was A BLACK CHIEF OF POLICE named Chief Clark and that it came out that his phone was bugged . AND THEN i began to ask who would have the power to tap his phone ? Now with haste i said that young BLACK YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T SCARE LIKE THEY USE TO AND STATING WE NEED TO GET THIS POLICING RIGHT . W IS UPELL LIKE THEN MY TIME IS UP AND a alderperson reminded me of that asked that I RAP IT UP saying this is 2024 and the mike controls . there was a concerned about JUDGES DOING THINGS THAT CAUSED CITIZENS TO HAVE TO SPEND LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO GET FROM THE LOCAL COURT TO ARKANSAS COURT OF APPEALS and then to the ARKANSAS SUPREME COURT seeking justice .

I am unable to listen presently. I DID PREVIOUSLY LISTEN PARTIALLY . However what strikes me as odd is that 11 days from this date Karla Williams the code enforcement director resigned . It appears she was in good spirit mode during her presentation and question session .

JANUUARY 3,2023 City Council Meeting February 21, City Council Meeting ,March 20 , 2023 City Council Meeting and a City Council Meeting March 6.2023 not yet put on the internet by the City of Pine Bluff Arkansas . ALLTHESE SHOW THE CHALLENGES residents face without positive actions .

Today January 25,2023 AT 4:OOPM is the 1st. time I've seen this on this platform .Speaking on a subject dear to many, definitely myself I ask that yo view and make mental and spiritual note of this. THE NEXT GENERATIONS OF Americans, the children of today will have up hill struggle to remedy these type circumstances . So that they will not have to remove these barriers to faith and the right to practice it we can solve this by steadfast commitments at every level to challenge any person or principalities that care less about righteousness .
