Here's one I wish had been at. You can feel the heat generated by the music - I can, anyway, right here in snow-shelled Boston in February 2015. Whoever said the flute was just a sweet, gentle instrument had another think coming. His performance drives its energy straight through the screen. Marvelous, marvelous.

Is there anyone who can tell me more about (a) these flutes (the KZbin clips show this very interesting flutist playing more than one type) or (b) this flutist? I believe he is originally from Burkina Faso, but I'm far from sure. Isn't his playing someone to make the blood pump fast?
