Thankyou for your reply. I gave up trying as to be honest, she is on end of life care now and trying to get her tail through caused her to start coughing, panicking and getting distressed. Then she drank gallons!! due to stress and coughing so it simply isnt worth it. Vet said to tweek her furosimide and only give 1/2 at tea time, spreading them out to 3 times a day rather than 2 twice a day. Also said to reduce gradually as 4 is a very high dose which was on her notes as 'short term' for the increase. She hasnt weed through the night!! @@PawInspired

Its only been reduced by 1/2 a tablet a day so far. She leaked again last night and was soaked when she woke, thankfully I have large puppy pads underneath but still had to bath her yet again. Today I bought children's nappies....wrong size!!! It only seems to be a problem through the night. Baby diapers are much softer and I can cut the tail hole over big? so may be easier to get that on her. Just need to go to the shop to get a larger size! Thankyou, sadly we had to up the furosimide again as she started to fill with fluid BUT think we now have things sorted in the way that we spaced the doses during the day? 1 1/2 tabs morning, 1 1/2 2pm and 1 tab 7pm. So far, for over a week, no leakage, no weeing in her sleep!! so, at the moment all good and no need for diapers. She is on palliative care and I'm heartbroken but she's still with me and very comfy.@@PawInspired

Typically bleeding will last about 7-10 days, though it may be shorter or longer as it varies among dogs. Keep in mind the bleeding is just one part of the heat cycle. How frequently to change her diaper will depend on how much discharge there is, but we would recommend changing her diaper every few hours to keep her comfortable and prevent irritation. Hello, thank you for your question! Sometimes with washable belly bands you will need to invert the suspenders so the hooks of the fasteners are facing up. Then you can wrap the belly bands around your dog and onto the suspenders. This should help keep everything in place comfortably. I'm sorry, but some of us in the real world are not even making it until our monthly disability check or paycheck are deposited because inflation has gotten so bad. It rubbed me the wrong way because I've been paying $16/week for puppy pads & about $20/week for toilet paper & paper towels. SSDI is $1275/mo. My dogs welfare come before mine.

I am here for that exact reason 😂😭 I have a corgi who is in heat, we’ve tried ALL kinds of diapers and nothing keeps them up. She has no tail so they slip right off when she walks.

Sometimes the diaper length is too short which will cause the diaper to slide off your dog’s back. You can also try our dog diaper suspenders to keep the diaper more secure.
