Unfortunately, there is so much fraud involved when it comes to Fiancé visas, as well as, applications for lawful permanent residency (green cards). When I practiced law, I encountered several situations in which Americans were paid to marry people from other countries. Therefore, the immigration authorities conduct their interviews in an attempt to determine if the relationship is fraudulent (an attempt to simply obtain a green card or U.S. citizenship). I am sorry that you didn't have success in your case.
