There is a fantastic photo of Pat Roach standing next to Harrison Ford who is puffing his chest out if you look on Google. I saw Pat signing prints of it at a convention.

Pat was such a softly spoken gentle giant of a man. I enjoyed his TV and film career but mostly enjoyed watching him wrestle as a kid. Happy memories of a time gone by.

I didn't plan to, but couldn't stop watching! Kid made a few beginners-mistakes while driving backwards; 'To fast! You're still going to fast!'. Lovely! A trick I learned from my instructor some 40-something years ago, was to lay my arm over the passengers upper chair, and look in the driving-direction. I still do that. I always aim at 3/4 of the rear-window when parking along a curb; it works! Gotta love those Mk.4 Cortina's (Called Taunus in Holland). Everyone had one, at some point: honest cars. I hope he became a safe driver!

Absolute masterpiece of the movie! If that movie was a painting it was definitely be an art! The only one unanswered thing for me was about time continuity. Does that event at cafe happened before or after the Virgil have end up in asylum (mental hospital)? A good ending for me would be after the asylum. Logically to think, as he had collapsed after seeing that his precious collection have gone inevitably might makes me think that he immediately end up in asylum. He definitely could not able to get to cafe in such mental state, so I think that final scene at cafe is the event which are later than asylum. A lingering hope I have for him is he at least was able to recover a bit from his paintings loss and was able to get to that cafe. As Claire told him about that cafe. And Virgil wanted to go there with her, that scene definitely happening in reality not in Virgil's head. There is absolutely no reason to director otherwise showing how Virgil prepares to that trip to Prague on train, he even rents an apartment furnished under his requirements. That apartment is step down from his exquisite mansion, meaning that he was somehow get used to that his paintings are gone forever. He looks drooped just exactly you see someone who discharged from mental hospital, halfly accepted his loss. His clothes looks less luxurious and level of his life steped down meaning that he was able halfly to return to his job, otherwise how he could make money for living? Other clue supporting my idea that at scene where Virgil in sphere at mental hospital he resents Claire and have grim eyes, it is an expectable anger reaction on what happened, so scene at cafe can't be before asylum. Collapse at home after seeing that collection have been gone returned him on earth, at asylum his anger continues, and later on anger dissolves as time as the cure recovers. There is absolutely in my opinion no point in scene at cafe happening before asylum, because after collapsing he understood that he was deceived. At asylum he halfly accepted his fate and discahrged halfly recovered that's why he is shown drooped, but not fully broken. And ticking clocks at cafe is an important meaning that life continues and means that he somehow managed to get back to life, back to his duties, as clocks moves he lives.

cars like these are great to learn to drive in, i remember me and my dad doing this sort of stuff, in a rover metro, I was doing my lessons in an nissan almera, so it was the best of both worlds. The modern stuff now, is larger and practically drives itself, some even self park. I don't think any new cars even have a manual hand brake, and i think manual gearboxes are starting to die out now.
