Hey pal, about minute 8:58, if Corvo hates torture, wouldn't it be more in character to kill Lady Boyle? I mean, considering that being at the mercy of an obsessed stalker probably results in some kind of abuse comparable to torture. I was also going to mention, ignoring the refusal to use torture, that perhaps Corvo was in a hurry to rescue Emily but, as the game allows you, he first freed her and opened the back door of the Golden Cat to leave and then either killed the twins or got the information from the art dealer and then had the twins enslaved, I only mention it as a possibility, since Corvo, despite not being his favorite means of interrogation, could have tortured the dealer in order to carry out the least risky option to get rid of the twins, considering that they were accompanied by courtesans in their rooms, that Corvo, possibly, tends to choose the "less bad" option, as when he did not want to risk changing the glasses in Campbell's office for the risk of poisoning the captain, and that, at least in my opinion, Corvo would prefer to sacrifice his principle of not torturing, over his principle of killing "innocent" guards, but again, just my opinion. When I play Dishonored 2, I always play Emily vs. Corvo in different ways. Emily was trained well by Corvo, and always admired his prowess with sorcery. Therefore, she accepted the Outsider's Mark and used it as well as she could for nonlethal missions. Her father had instilled in her the values of keeping people alive. As he says in the tutorial (I think), "Every life spared is another person who gets to walk home at the end of all this." (I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that, but I can't find a record of it.) She keeps those values alive. Meanwhile Corvo, yet again tasked with saving his daughter, is less idealistic. He's dealt with the Outsider long enough, and refuses to take the mark, even though he knows it will cost him his abilities. But once he's there, he doesn't try as hard to be nonlethal or stealthy. Sure, he tries to let as many people as possible live another day. But if he's being attacked on all sides by enemies, he's just dropping them. He gets to be brutal. He's too tired not to be.

8 years later, I know why the game has some weird optimization issues AMD drivers and Nvidia drivers end up interacting in some weird ways that the game doesn't like (in current day that problem is so bad that the game will refuse to even launch if you don't uninstall your AMD drivers) Dishonored 2 is the only game I am aware of that has this problem But once you get past that (and the absurdly long load time the first time you boot up the game) the game is *PEAK* (especially with the madness of New Game+, doing New Game+ on a New Game+ savefile gets incredibly silly after a while)

My guess would be that after being defeated by Dante in DMC1 Nelo Angelo was freed of Mundus' control and corruption and he turned back into Vergil but with him being under Mundus' control for god knows how long Vergil's body begun to fall apart after he was defeated by Mundus at the end of DMC3 and the only thing keeping it together was Nelo Angelo's armour.

This Dante is Post 07 Anime Dante where basically nothing will ever pose a challenge to him ever again and he's basically the most powerful being in the universe at this point. Why would anything push him to his limits here. I haven't played 5 yet as Im going through everything for the first time so Idk what happens there but here it makes sense on showing the difference on how weak Nero is compared to someone like Dante that can just come in snap his finger and stop someone that is a Joke to him like Sanctus. To Dante Sanctus is just another Sid/Abigail. No matter how much power they attain it will all be meaningless cause Dante will end them. Simple so this complaint you have is stupid

I agree and disagree with the conclusion in this video. I agree with Dante being overpowered, but showing civilians dying in the background wouldn't fix anything. Dante is NOT Superman. Dante protects people, but he wouldn't stress over a few more dead bodies. Dante routinely turns down jobs that he deems boring, he wouldn't even BE in Fortuna if the Yamato isn't here. It is always important to remember that while Dante protects humanity in general, he isn't a "bleeding heart". Half of him is still demon after all.

No, actually, "eliminate" could also mean "get rid of," it doesn't have to mean "kill." It CAN, which is the game's way of letting the player decide what corvo or emily mean when they say that, because the chaos system is supposed to be a reflection of their character.

Playing Darksiders 3 now, and really enjoying it. Played DS1 and DS2 in 2022-2023, and although this is a different style game, it is just as fun in a different way. DS1 and 2 were a couple of my favorites, and don’t let negative reviews dissuade you before trying it. It is definitely a different style game, but I think that is a strong suit of the series. You get to play 3-4 somewhat different style games, while keeping the same controls and look.

it's odd that the parts that were most improved in the remake are the ones that would have worked best in the original game's context. The knife combat and parry, the ridiculous minecart ride, Ashley's more gung ho attitude, backflip chainsaw dodge. It all fits the 90s action flick vibe more than the gritty guilt ridden veteran seeking redemption story remake decided to go with. Kinda makes you wish they'd made 2 different games fully commiting to both atmospheres instead of trying to meet in the middle. RE4 Remake and RE4 Remake classic edition, featuring Leon from the devil may cry series.

Dishonored’s canon is bit meh, because homie just had his Wife murdered and his daughter stolen, after living his love in the shadows because of the constant judgement from the very nobles who conspired against him. Corvo wouldnt go on a killing rampage, but he definitely WOULD torture Campbell and definitely WOULD kill them. I reckon he would 100% kill almost all major characters. Maybe he would spare Daud, in that split second. But even then im not so sure. And in Dishonored 2, he would definitely kill most people. To have it all crumble AGAIN. Aint no way he’s allowing it

4:30 So, I played DS1 & 2, now 3. You're telling me that 1 & 2 had no camera auto-centre (on XSX it has an option, but it does nothing)? You can turn around to attack enemies behind you, but just turn and face the camera! Also, you lose any used power ups in 1 & 2 if you die? In 3 if you use stuff, then die, you have to retry with only 'medi kits', no power up stuff if you used it. This makes some boss fights very hard and unfair - if you use boosts and fail first try you are in trouble. 3 was made by a different developer (Gunfire Games, not Vigil), and THQ no longer exists - THQ Nordic and Gunfire is not THQ and Vigil, like the first 2. 1 is the best, 2 had worse boss battles, but ok, 3 is unpleasant, best avoided.

It's also poetically sad considering that Daud saved emily and the kingdom from Delilah before she even arrived and didn't say anything. It was his small token of redemption so either if corvo kills him or not he can live/die knowing he did something good
