LOL.....its a 7000 lb trailer carrying a 5500 lb Dodge. And its hauled about 100 vehicles in the last 10 years.

As you can see it was 10 years ago. But....we did find a little gold in the tailings.....not even a gram though. But....beautiful desert mountains. And clean air.

Yes, we were there to prospect for gold. We did some detecting there....but too much trash in the ground. Bullets & nails. We went further up the canyon to the actual Red Cloud mine. And I dry washed some old tailings for a little gold.

sounds like a rod knock to me...those old flatties are usually quite quiet not knock knock.... they have a long stroke gd for torque but will not take over revving sounds hurt to me very tuff trux but weak link motors constantly blowing up with leadfoot drivers...

We were just up there and the white boulder is now so far to the left that you can easily get around it.. BUT, about 100 yards further up is another roadblock that most people would not make it past. We considered trying in the Jeep, but we knew we would be trespassing so we turned back.. Was still a fun drive!

Yes, they did......but in larger trucks. Never in 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks.

Yes....the only diesels that Dodge put in trucks during WWII.....were the larger 2 wheel drive 3 tons. Never put them in the 1/2, 3/4 ton trucks of WWII or the flat-fender Power Wagons never had them. I never understood why they didn't put the hemi-engine in the Power Wagons....on the 6 cylinder gas engine.

I have a nice running WC-53 that came with the one above. Send me your email, and I can send you pics. David Here is a nice West Coast 1942 Dodge WC-53 Carryall ¾ ton 4x4 truck with “Combat Rims” and good tires. Cancer free. And includes a current Calif. title. Good running engine, new master and wheel cylinders (good brakes), new battery, elect. fuel pump, reupholstered front seats. Fuel tank cleaned and rebuilt. Rebuilt carburetor w/filter. Includes all the orig. window regulators and covers installed. New safety glass windows. Price $24,500
