there's a great launch to the north of torness PS in the bay. free slipway onto the beach with parking at the top of it. now they've shut off the parking at torness, it might be easier for you to park there and kayak over to the outflow.

OK, so you had a bit of fun creel fishing, you just can't land the dam things, been there and done it myself on my old 10ft kayak and I more more than likey do it on my new 14ft when I release it from the garage roof and get back out from April on. Got a tip for you of what I do, get a small "clet" of some type on the side of your kayak, so if your hook / weight / line gets caught, you loosen the line from the reel, hold the line in one and store your rod back into the rod holder or what ever, then pull in the slack line, tie the line "quikly" on the clet and paddle back wards untill the line breaks. "You have to watch the line" It is some thing you will have to sit at home (in your kayak) and work out what you have to do. I do like your videos BTW, I am from the E coast of NI....

It’s not commercial boats that are the issue here. It’s teams of 4-8 people ravaging the area, with no respect for the environment.

You say that angling doesn’t effect the fish stocks well sorry it does if you get ass holes killing every thing they catch the trawlers have a net size limit so they don’t get the small fish where as the angler catches all sizes depending on hook size so it depends on them to catch and release the small ones so be it on them You break one part of the circle then the whole system breaks down be it on your heads !.
@stephenfarmer39083 ай бұрын
@@BritDad You say that fishing with a rod won’t do any damage to the fish stocks well you are talking rubbish all Kinds of fishing has an affect on the stocks of fish commercial or hobby fishing the difference is that sensible fish ie checking fish size and catch and release are the only way to help fish stocks so don’t think that because you think that commercial fishing is the only one then you are totally wrong they have a net size to use and the small undersized fish are not counted and they get a fine for catching these small fish so in Their interest it Matters that they Don’t catch the undersized fish FACT ! But there are those people that try and use this excuse to go out and slaughter All the fish they catch just to sell their catch to get a few bob to go down to wash them selves down with their ill gained money because they don’t care for the fish or anyone who abides by the fishing rules and have respect for what is around us with the world .If You don’t give respect then don’t expect it Back and just go back under the stone where you belong OK !!!!!!?.

100% correct the warm water outlet is a bass nursery , controller floats and dinsmore eels buying them buy the card then the bombadiers became hip for a while but the majority of setups where drennan subsurface controller floats and the small eels rigged .they murdered 1000s of schoolie bass for commercial gain in well known restaurants in glasgow Stirling Falkirk Edinburgh no mercy up at Torness ..the average size fish was 12 to 14 inch which fit a restaurant plate perfectly .Sad times and no size limit .. an angler is very fortunate to catch a small 12 inch bass with a lure and light set up . but sadly the light set ups used at Torness where for The murder of juvenile fish ..I regard myself as a bass angler and most game species i have travelled and put in some hours and only had a handfull of bass in 20years connected with plenty but no cigar there should be an exclusion zone at Torness .
