I just flew to Taipei from San Francisco and back last month on EVA Airways. The increased legroom of Premium Economy is a real plus, especially the 13+ hour westbound flight (I got near 6.5 hours of sleep).

Catering outside any US airport will always be bad, but food catering airports from East and Southeast Asian airports are much better, which is prolly why the second flight's food is better.

@@justinnnnn18 good point, but if that’s the case, then you’re in for another treat: the catering on my EVA Air flight from SFO-TPE was not better, it’s light years better. also in Premium Economy.

JAL also uses a shelled seat in premium economy, I flew on both their A350-1000 and 777-300ER, and it didn't feel that bad. But they do have better headrest, and that might play a big role here. On usual recliner seat, I never recline my seat all the way down, I'm just afraid to disturb the passenger behind me😅Shelled seats avoid this for me so that's why me (and maybe some other people) prefer them.

@@MqLei to be frank, I’ve never tried JAL’s Prem Econ. but after my flight with CI’s, I’m not sure I’d book JAL in the future. hard shell seats are a very hard pass for me.

Hi everyone, if you’re wondering, this is a reupload of my China Airlines Premium Economy review. Almost a year after I first the original video, I received a copyright claim on what was supposed to be copyright-free background music. I’m 99% sure it’s a false claim, so I disputed, but unfortunately, my dispute was rejected. Since I used the music in a significant portion of the video, I had to re-edit the entire thing from scratch. So, yeah, that’s why. Once again, please forgive the out-of-order flight review number. The copyright drama really wreaked havoc.

About 2% of the video - is seat I can't barely see - the seat. But it's great there's a screen and a selection of movies. I dont have screens and movies at home.

I encountered the same WIFI issue on my flight from SFO to TPE last month, despite being in Business Class. Although I paid for the WIFI service, I was unable to fully access the internet, and the connection repeatedly disconnected. It wasn't just me; all the passengers in Business Class had this problem. Even on the return flight from TPE to SFO, the same issue occurred. Additionally, the USB outlet was loose. EVA Air needs to replace the plane with a newer one.

@@a90206 thank you! personally, I prefer The Room. Qsuite is amazing too, but the bed is much narrower & doesn’t go fully flat, which sucks. The Room’s bed is noticeably harder, but I personally like it!

@@sfbatraveler i slept much better in Emirates business class seat with the soft mattress topper that the flight attendants put on. The Room is great except the bed is just too hard for me. I prefer a medium mattress

If you look at the passengers around you some of them are actually Filipinos going to CEB BR281 from TPE while the CRK/MNL bound passengers took BR27/17 to BR271/233 because the competing flight on Philippine Airlines PR105 SFO🇺🇲-MNL🇵🇭 which people in Taiwan and Hong Kong spell out as 菲律賓航空 has service quality that doesn't match Eva Air service. That's why the MNL/CRK passenger got tickets for BR17/27 to BR271/233 to avoid PR105. If you want the daytime version of this route that's BR7/261 vs PR115. LAX version of your flight to RPLL/RPLC via TPE RCTP🇹🇼 with PR(🇹🇼🇭🇰 spelling 菲律賓航空) BR11/15 to BR271/233 vs PR103
