Great 1st podcast episode! Some of us can all relate to your story. Great Encouragement. My story similar, married 2nd year college, young mother right after college (took a break 4th year for a semester) but 9 months pregnant I walked across VSU stage for my bachelors degree (and side note I continued to go to college after getting married in another state- I was living DC). Life happens but again as you said no one was going to tell me what I couldn’t do. Masters degree from TSU while working full time job. Retired now from Federal government with 43 years services, very proud of myself and accomplishments and will continue to accomplish even after retirement. My favorite wine is riesling. ❤ Thanks for sharing your story ❤

Yes, I would love that no struggle package, but God told us in his word we would have troubles on this side. I, too, have a baby as a teen I continued on and made a good life. Then 8 years ago hit with another big change I lost my hubby at age of turning 60 and being married for 39 years, dating 2 years, so a total of 41 years. I have never been a single adult woman. I am still navigating this change in my life. I would love to go to Germany, my sister was born their I would love to take her.

Forgiveness is difficult for me depending upon who the person is that upset me. I really need people to acknowledge their wrongdoings even if they don't apologize or ask for forgiveness. Lack of acknowledgment is a huge barrier for me. I am a work in progress. Thank you Keoshia for this conversation today.

Anger is like cancer. It spreads the longer you hold on to it. I was angry at a few people for a long time. One day, I realized that I'm only hurting myself. Forgiveness isn't for them, its for yourself. Forgiveness doesn't mean that you forget. You just learn how to move forward with said person. Sometimes, you have to feed people with a long handle spoon.

Wow Keoshia! This hit home. I also got pregnant at 19. I had to pivot, but I never stopped pushing forward and hitting small milestones. I got my Master's Degree too. I loved when you said an altered path is still a path and you can still get to your goal. Can't wait until next episode❤. My favorite wine is this sweet red muscadine wine made by a local winery. It's so good!

Hey Keoshia, I resonated with this episode so much. As someone who also went to college and got pregnant after my freshman year I had the same experience as you. So many disappointed people but I never gave up. I now have a bachelors degree, have a great job in the medical field, and candle business. I know for sure that mistakes happen but as you said that doesn’t have to alter the outcome. It took time for me but baby I’m here and it ain’t thang anybody can tell me that I CANT do. Thanks for your transparency. I’m looking forward to continuing to support you 🥰
