Personally, I am not a windows user, but since ThinkPad's support Linux, I find that the trackpoint gets too much hate and actually makes CAD doable without a mouse. You should really sell ThinkPad Developer Editions which run Linux by default. This will also save us Linux users a lot of money from the Windows license

So my Laptop wont recognize any monitors, that are connected to the Workstation. Does anybody know why? I only have USB C to USB C as a connection between workstation and Laptop tho.

i have this dock, but if i connect 2 monitors samsung M7 43 inch 4K, it only show 4k for 1 monitor only and the other monitor can only 1920x1080 (full hd). both connect with hdmi. what can i do to make both 4k? sholud i change the cables into display port?

This dock is an absolute unreliable turd of a dock. It constantly disconnects on it's own and never connects when you first plug in your laptop. I'm using a lenovo thinkpad x1 with an i9 processor / 64gb ram / 2 tb m.2 ssd. Dock and Computer are both running the latest firmware. Don't waste your money on Lenovo. Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 dock = Steaming pile of dook.

I had one of the first ones of these in the UK. The screen was truly stunning 640 x 480 with incredible viewing angles and bright. but the hinge was incredibly weak and cracked the plastic it was attached to.. There was also battery management issues nickel metal hydride batteries would get hot every time it was plugged in.. The specs were 486 SX 4 MB of RAM 120 MB hard drive There was also a coprocessor socket which could be upgraded to DX specs. At that time there were 486 66 laptops made by AJP but their screens were passive matrix colour totally washed out with very narrow viewing angles and virtually unusable.. IBM was a name to be reckoned with then.... Now it is gone woke.. And as we all know everything woke is broke...

For some reason I can't have one 4k and one 2k monitor connected. I can have for example 2 monitors each 2k. Although on Lenovo website they stated that i can have two 4k monitors and one 2k at the same time. I have lenovo P52 workstation laptop. Have anyone similar problems? Does updating docks firmware solves anything?

Hi, i have solved my isssue. Lenovo support adviced me to run software and firmware update of the Dock as well as Intel thunderbolt software and firmware for my laptop. Updates were done through Lenovo system update. After all updates, I'm able to have two 4k dispaysand one 2k. Two connected on the back of the Dock are 4k and one through USB C cable in the front of the Dock is 2k.

@@jlau7144 I would rate it in good condition. It powers on but the screen display is out. Display works via VGA cable. Operating system is dos 3.1 No cracks, keys work fine. It has a hand written model number which I read was on the prototype models released to businesses before the public.

how do you make it actually connect the devices? I plugged everything in and the light is on on the device but nothing is communicating to the laptop. (mouse/keyboard/monitor/printer)

I have 1 HDMI & 2 x DP's but the 2 DPs are just displaying the same screen (I have 3 screens)..Any reason why its not allowing all 3 displays to work as separate screens?

go to Windows display option, there is an option you can choose which is a different display or the same.
