There is nothing in this ceremony that even relates to traditional Cherokee other than the waist sash

Wow...this is a wedding but not Cherokee, the man and woman no doubt are real .. Everything else is not real...fake headdress on the flute player. It's shameful that you use the name Cherokee with this. Pretty certain this is probably in the SE somewhere, smack in the middle of WANNABEE fake Cherokee country......oh please !!!?

Cherokees didn't wear war bonnets for starters
@bikesandbruce5664Ай бұрын
@wildmanmark12 . As a Cherokee citizen, I can tell you that it is not a war bonnet. However, that bonnet is of the style of the plains natives and is not Cherokee.
@MichelleMCTran4 жыл бұрын
Unless you are a warrior chiefs don’t wear the War Bonnet sheesh
@tuchesuavae4 жыл бұрын
Our tribe never wore war bonnets to begin with. Only plains natives wore them. We are not a plains tribe

Sharing this Ceremony, is a gesture of kindness and importance. The criticism here is unwarranted. If one can show an example better, please do so. Maybe not as accurate, meaningful none the less and beautiful.
@tuchesuavae4 жыл бұрын
It's very warranted. This is not our culture, it is a false representation. We never wore war banners, this is NOT how our weddings are conducted, this whole this is a false narrative there are so many lies about our culture and for actual tsalagi trying to learn about their culture this kind of bs is damaging.
