I kind of don't mind sounding like a needy biatch so....... when are you coming back to KZbin? ;) I also noticed a few of the videos have been taken down which I watched religiously. Was that a copyright thing or something else?

@@AI-go622 Yes! I just found the octave chords (essentially the whole song) and the rest of the notes revealed themselves from there. Some parts were harder to figure out than others but it wasn’t as hard as I thought, since it’s mostly all octaves.

amp and pedals settings?
@thesilverchairfan3 ай бұрын
The Rocktron Tsunami - everything is set to 9 o'clock except the last knob, which I sometimes turn all the way down or up, depending. The Digital Delay - for just this song, I put the first two knobs at 3 o'clock, the third knob at 6 o'clock, and the last knob gets set in GLT mode. Micro Synth - the settings on this are a bit funny and I (and Daniel) frequently change them depending on the song. If you go to my Straight Lines guitar lesson video and search the comments, I name the 'standard settings' I keep on the Micro Synth that are similar to some of the settings Dan uses. As far as the amp, it can be misleading to go off of amp settings unless you're using that exact same amp. Every amp is different, and unfortunately we cannot rely on settings from one amp (like Dan's Soldano) to translate neatly to other amps. Your guitar also factors into tone, as well as what strings you use and even what cables you use! So I say every player should adjust their amp settings based on preference and what they think sounds best, or the 'most like' the player they're trying to emulate. But generally speaking, I like a healthy amount of low-end, opened mids, and just enough high-end to get clarity. Hope that helps!

it’s like listening to Daniel’s head. the ending sounds like the antidepressants wearing off. and Ben and Chris and other instruments are supporting his spirit to stand up. I see both ben and chris’ side but i definitely have experienced similar to daniel’s experiences.

@@thesilverchairfan I probably should get all my pedals out and have a crack myself then I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions. I know I struggled to get similar sounds from the effects when trying to match your OC-2 and Rocktron settings when I watched the last ones. My Microsynth is currently on its way. I think I managed to get the same model that Daniel uses so I am sure I have a zillion questions about that. My trouble is I am usually a one trick pony so I prefer to get a setting on a pedal and use that for every song. I think what I miss is what I need to change per song i.e. delay may not be the same for Ana's Song live vs. the end of Slave... or maybe it is? I'm devo that I didn't find you on here until after you left Reddit. I could have bored you to tears with guitar and equipment chat haha
@thesilverchairfan4 ай бұрын
@@beautdavis You are spot on about adjusting the settings for some songs. I recently got the first model of the Rocktron Tsunami (the exact model he has) and it makes a big difference in getting those LOUD guitar tones. That’s why they sounded so BIG for a three piece band live (until YM when they went for a thinner-garage sound). That’s awesome that you got the 3rd version Micro Synth! I used to have that one and I didn’t like that it wasn’t ’true bypass.’ It took away from my amp overdrive, and I didn’t like that. I could have had it augmented to become ‘true bypass’, but I decided to just get the 5th version instead, which does have true bypass built in. Please don’t hesitate to ask me anything on here and I’ll do my best to answer.

This song just fills me with late 90's/early 2000's nostalgia, despite all that was going on in the world at the time everyone was still so full of hope for the future. The internet/smart phones hadn't burst everyone's bubble yet. Everyone was going to find their true love, and life in the future was going to be paradise... How TF did we go so wrong? Good job on the cover btw.
