A timeless classic that remains as relevant as ever! 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' by George Orwell is a thought-provoking masterpiece that delves into the dangers of totalitarianism and the power of control. The narration captures the haunting atmosphere and complex emotions perfectly. Thank you for bringing this iconic novel to life in audiobook form-it’s a must-listen for everyone seeking deeper insights into society and human nature. 📖🎧✨

Wow, never knew Frank Muller did a narration of this! I'll definitely check it out the next time I want to hear the story again. It's hard to top Simon Prebble's narration, but Frank Muller is one of my favorites. Loved his narrations of The Dark Tower series and The Silence of the Lambs. Dude can lend a lot of intensity to a scene by his voice.

How is more freedom to identify and express yourself MORE like 1984 not LESS?
@poldyp403616 күн бұрын
@ your freedom ends with your responsibilities as a human being. Your only predisposition in relation with gender is a boy and a girl. Because it has been always like that.

For all the psychos acting like they live through this on the daily, (yeah that's my country/yeah that's what's happening where i live/that's what's happening here) in whatever country they live in!!... Please!!!!! Do you have to fight for your daily dose of rotten cabbage, do you have to hide your sexual encounters in the woods wondering if you'll be found out, are you worried that your thoughts will be caught by the thought police and you'll be tortured for months or years to where you're not even a human anymore, please!???? DID you even read the book??? To any individual believing that they are living through this, you need a Strong dose of reality!!!!

Hero post! Nice to see a flickering light of sanity in an otherwise brain-rotten comments section <3 Unfortunately the depression, ignorance, and most importantly paranoia that you identify as total detachment from reality is potentially genuinely emotionally how some of these commenters feel. Schizophrenia/schizo-typal mental health issues frequently come with paranoid delusion and the belief that the sufferer's very thoughts are "readable" to the world...I take comfort in the fact that these people at least find some sort of recognition from the story of 1984, even if their critical thinking stops there...which is a shame and if there was more mental health support, a lot of these commenters might better understand that they get to live in the freest, most educated, most developed world that any human has been lucky enough to experience...maybe one day some will see that 🙂

I love Frank Muller's readings. Sadly, he's no longer with us. Thanks for posting. Winston's intuition was wrong about the girl and O'Brien. 'Nuff said.
