Bernie is so wise I love watching him sparring with journo’s

Bernies first wife was Croatian & his current wife is Brazilian. I can’t understand how he feels immigrants should not be in the UK. Most immigrants have done more for the United Kingdom than his plastic infused daughters.

an interview of one of the most interesting people on the planet by one of the most annoying people on the planet. Between him constantly waving his hand in front of Bernie's face, and not allowing Bernie to answer this machine gun questions, I'm surprised Bernie didn't just get up and walk out. This was obviously his opportunity to show everyone how smart he believes he is

Yes, Bernie is a fascinating character. Don"t you think the world has changed, asked Bernie re immigration, he gets to the point!

Dreadful interview. If he'd have kept quiet and listened, he would have found and listeners would have heard what a very interesting, highly intelligent person Bernie Ecclestone is. Martin Sorrell is your typical leftie remainer, he seems to, like most remainers, underestimate Bernie's intelligence. Also at the start Bernie hardly said a word, but Martin Sorrell answered for him and accused him of answering something he didn't! I did like Bernie's comments about Vladimir Putin running Europe, just to wind him up!

I had the honour to work for Bernie Ecclestone as a consultant ( 1994 - 2001 ) nothing to do with the F1 cars as I was circuit engineering but got to travel the world and see it all... FOPA /FOCA and then FOM ... all I can say is he is a genius and he could get things done fast ....see how he can cut down the interviewer with just a few well chosen words its a shame there are not more like him today .
@bobbymoore91544 жыл бұрын
Bernie is fantastic, economical with his words and no BS. Sorrell is the typical windbag who thinks he knows everything and see's himself as a titan. Bernie could pick up the phone to any head of state in the world and get a meeting at a moments notice. That is real power and influence. He is also known as a man who keeps his word. Integrity is a very rare commodity at the top of business and politics and Bernie has it spades.

I dislike very much how Martin Sorrell appears to question Bernie in a very condescending fashion.

remember Bernie IS a dictator so of course he's an admirer of Putin lol. But you cant help not admire someone who just gets sht done. Bernie, Putin. They do get sht done. lol no he didnt. Hitler did not get anything done. He failed miserably and he was an idiot. Like an IDIOT. When he fired his generals, the intelligent ones were gone and the war was left with Hitler the retard. Not everybody has fck time to sit there and tweet all day lol. Oprah Winfrey has a billion dollars. Do the women WANT to invest in a an all female F1 team. That's the real problem. The All Backs and Nz in Americas cup do not have as much money as everyone else. New Zelaand wins rugby and Americas cup all the time ona fraction of the cash. Its the PEOPLE that's important. Red Bull was once upon a time just sponsoring little local events in their hometown. They grew to what they are now. Its the PEOPLE, not just the money.

Only watched a little bit of this before cringing (so could be way off the mark): I admire Ecclestone for what he’s done for F1 - he absolutely made a huge and positive impact on the sport that I love. However, I doubt he is adequately equipped with the appropriate knowledge to discuss the finer points of Brexit and subsequent relationship with the EU - as he aptly demonstrated when asked about immigration and what Europe has ever done for us! He is very astute when talking about things he knows about, however when being questioned about general current affairs and politics he came across as a stupid Daily Mail reader (sorry if you are one). Probably leading questions from the interviewer but not Good Mr E - I expected better from you!!!
@darkspeed624 жыл бұрын
haha, I think some of his answers were a little bit tongue in cheek. Anyone who's seen Bernie gives interviews knows he dodges questions, gives non-answers, and toys with the audience/interviewer. I doubt he actually meant the comment about Putin. He likes to have fun, and given his position he was always able to.
@MrArchie8004 жыл бұрын
@@darkspeed62 Yes you're probably right, he does tend to wind-up interviewers! And TBH I can't even remember writing this post that you're replying to (I was probably pissed so will have to watch again ;-), anyway I still think Mr E is great (If a bit of a dinosaur). (I wish he would bloody buy Williams!!)

One should respect him for his legacy on Formula One. An outstanding job he has done. But outside this racing world he doesn't show much at all. He still suffers from a proper lack of education in his early age. Can't be blamed on him personally. All in all a nice guy, but not to be listened to as an advisor on broader world problems.

I believe any team will sign a female driver if she is good enough. There should be no special program to include women in the sport. All top drivers started as kid drivers. Parents should encourage their female child to drive if they want them in F1.

One of the things that makes F1 the pinnacle of motorsports is (1) the technology, and (2) not being too common. It should be marketed like luxury event, may be certain GPs such as Monaco, Las Vegas, etc.
