I bought a Helios Neo 2023 i7-13650HX with RTX4060 GPU. The notebook arrived and seemed to be working normally, but in the first few hours it presented some anomalies, such as some areas of the screen flashing in Windows, apparent hardware failures, even with the BIOS and all the drivers updated. I ended up restarting it a few times, but the problem continued to occur on a smaller scale, but hours later it gave a blue screen and restarted, from then on it entered recovery mode and none of the recovery options worked, as if it had not found a logical drive to perform the reinstallation. It is worth mentioning that I am an advanced user, in the past I was the owner of two companies in the IT sector directly linked to the sale and maintenance of equipment and I used the command prompt with the last resort "rstrui.exe /offline:c:windows=active", but without success. I could even perform a clean installation via USB, but then I ended up encountering another problem, where the notebook would only turn on if it was plugged into the power supply, and when disconnected it would not show any sign of life when pressing the start button. The strangest thing is that it would turn on normally if the power supply was connected, and after turning on, if the power supply was disconnected it would continue to work. Considerations: - Good screen in Nits (brightness), although it is mediocre in terms of resolution, because for the price charged it should already have a better WQXGA (QHD) screen, as we see in the same Acer models offered throughout Latin America, where the prices charged by Acer are cheaper than the prices charged in Brazil. It is worth mentioning that older models, such as the 12th Generation Acer Triton 300 SE (2022), already had much better 240Hz WQXGA screens. - The SSD has reasonable read (6500mb/s) and write (4400mb/s) speeds, measured in CrystalDiskMark. The 512GB model is highly not recommended, as it would be very little space, unless the user prefers a future upgrade, but in this case, don't forget to look for an NVME SSD with a thin heatsink, suitable for notebooks, as Acer Brazil preferred to save money and did not install SSD cooling pads, which in other countries are located on the bottom metal back cover. - It has an RTX 4060 with 8GB (although it is one of the notebooks with the worst performance with this GPU). - The entire case, both the metal and plastic parts, get fingerprint marks just by looking at it, it looks like a fingerprint absorber, even if your hand has just been washed. It looks terrible, especially if you use it for work. - The PredatorSence software, which controls most of the functions, has some bugs and really needs a major update to make it functional. - It comes with 16GB DDR5 memory with two 8GB sticks. It would be much smarter to come with only one 16GB stick, as it would make life easier for the user when they want to add another 16GB stick to have 32GB in total. It is worth mentioning that when it comes to DDR5, there is no noticeable gain in being dual channel, so having two 8GB sticks is not justifiable. - Mediocre keyboard, with good key layout and also good for having a numpad, but the keys are a bit wobbly when pressed. - Excellent trackpad in all aspects. - Also excellent ports, in addition to all video outputs being connected to the dedicated GPU. Only the RJ-45 port would be better located on the back of the notebook, not on the side, but that really doesn't matter much. - The Wi-Fi card is outdated, since the Killer AX1650i does not support Wi-Fi 6E, while the Helios Neo already comes with the Killer AX1675i, which is much faster and supports newer technology connections. - The sound is one of the saddest points of this model. It has good volume, but the sound is metallic and without any bass, even when adjusted in the DTS X software to reproduce the bass at maximum. It almost sounds like one of those small, old battery-powered radios. It is certainly the worst sound of all the notebooks I have had, even the cheapest ones. - The BIOS settings are terrible, like all Acer models. - The volume of the fans in turbo performance mode is not as unbearable as some claim or even allude to a drone. I have had noisier overclocked notebooks, even though they were much less powerful. I returned the Helios Neo and picked up another sealed Acer, the Triton 300 SE manufactured in May 2023. It may seem like a joke, but Acer once again sent me a defective notebook, this time with Error 43 (RTX 3060 dead), and the USB ports were not working. I reinstalled Win11 and updated all the drivers and Bios to no avail. An irreparable problem with the graphics chip was the preliminary diagnosis from Acer's technical support. I would love for the Helios Neo to be good, because I liked the machine even with its imperfections, but just look for more information in English and you will find plenty of reports from users who are having problems of various types, some within and some out of warranty. The most common are a progressive increase in temperature in the months following purchase, constant freezing, problems due to the lack of an undervoltage controller in the BIOS, and most worrying of all, Acer's refusal to release a BIOS update with Intel's 129h microcode that corrects the overvoltage problem in the 13th and 14th generation HX line processors, processors that suffer from the degenerative process of electromigration that makes them irreversibly unstable, irreparable damage that is not always classified as objective and covered by the warranty. A bug that occurred in the Helios Neo that I bought, and that I forgot to mention, is that it reached 99ºc only with PredatorSense open in turbo mode, which is very similar to reports from users who suffered from electromigration, a defect that some prefer to call oxidation of the HX line processors. In all honesty, I'm not going to buy a notebook that has everything it needs to let me down after 1, 2 or 3 years of use, as happened with the previous model called Helios 300, which is currently piling up on the shelves of technical services mainly due to error 43 generated by the degradation of the RTX graphics chip due to problems caused by Acer's poor construction. Not to mention that Acer manipulates the comments that are made on their website, I wrote three reviews there. A good one about an Acer Predator Aethon 303 mechanical keyboard (which is really very good) and, in a polite manner, two bad reviews about the Helios Neo and the Triton 300 SE. They only publish positive comments that do not denigrate their products in any way. Can you imagine what the rating of the products would be without this review score ?... Acer never again... Excuse me for huge text 😳

I haven't faced any issue with my unit yet, hope I won't face any in future too. I really liked this product... good build quality and performance and thermal management.

estou com o mesmo problema que você, já fiz de tudo e nada, mas vou esperar a acer lançar uma atualização para resolver isso, o problema é do software do predatorsense com a ultima atualização do windows e eles precisam resolver isso apesar de ser besteira, porem incomoda.

Problem 1: I have the Predator Helios 16 (4070, 240hz), and I had the same issue after 7 months of owning it. I would clean it out every 3 months and also manually installed dust filters in the vents for additional security. The sound was caused by faulty fans that needed to be replaced.

Did they accept it back and get you another one for free?

Kalau matic itu tergantung maen pedal gas nya. Selama makai cortez saya dalkot jakarta 1:9 - 1:10. Luar kota 1:15 dengan kondisi penumpang 8 orang, full muatan, full bensin. Kuat nanjak juga dengan kondisi tersebut

Dapat 14,5 itu udah bagus banget. Saya pakai Cortez CT L 1.5 Turbo perjalanan Tangerang-Padang PP dapatnya 11. Total jarak tempuh 3390an km sudah termasuk jalan-jalan di Sumbar.
