I worked for a Romani couple who were fortune tellers and I've known quite a few as well to know that they are good people. The family I worked for really looked out for me and treated me like one of their own. I also met a Romani woman and had instinctually knew she was a fortune teller to her surprise being that she hadn't done it for a while being that her husband is a christian and didn't want her doing it. She turned around and helped me out and didn't charge me a single cent. And even gave me a jade colored amulet for protection. I can also relate being a so called Indian in the Americas. We are treated similarly if not the same way. I know that first hand so I can relate to what's being said. Thanx for sharing.

If Romani or Gypsies have their origins from India 1000 years ago and now living in abject poverty, stealing, begging to survive in Europe, Americas then present day IT, engineers, doctors, professors immigrants from India will meet the same fate in 200 years living in USA, Europe. Those Indian CEOs in USA Microsoft, Google, Ramaswamy from India need to worry about their future generations meeting same fate as Gypsies did. That is abject poverty, racism and holocaust as happened in Europe to them in WW- WW2. It may be better for them to start returning to India now and spread the word in India to stop emigration to Europe and Americas.

I too have 2 very strong bloodlines in me, Africans and Romani both were enslaved for 400-600 years, both are survivors and resilient, and both were freed by Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Romanian slavery ended 8 years before American slavery. It is their blood that proudly flows within me and gave me the resilience to survive the orphanage for so long. I’m a Romanian orphan that is Romani, Black and Melanesian and Aboriginal. I got extremely bullied and hurt my entire life but anti-black racism caz nobody in my area is aware of Roma. I was segregated in my first elementary school in the early 2000s, kicked out of class in 4th grade and the list goes on. Fuck people. 1:05 I’d just like to add that divination / fortune telling IS real. That sort of “psychic shit” as I’ve always callled it has ALWAYS happened to me. I truly believe that it is a force of nature much like gravity that will get discovered eventually by science (if not already discovered and ignored etc). For example , I get warning dreams and I had a warning dream that told me to go to my mother that she was in an emergency situation, so I did. Had I got there even a few minutes later, she would’ve died the EMT said. Mine specifically tends to be with the dead and the beyond and the future but it’s not specific. Another example I was watching the clouds go by at the park laying down in the grass. I kinda started to zone. We were going on vacation in a few weeks and I saw a shape of a dog and worried that something would happen to our dog and stop our vacation. I was correct but not our dog my aunt’s dog got very sick and so she had to bail. My most OP moment was in 4th grade. The sub’s dad died so I made her a card. I wrote my condolences etc. but I also felt compelled to write something extra, PS there’s golf in heaven and drew her dad as an angel playing golf. She cried and told me her dad loved golf. Those weren’t from my heart her beloved dead told me. And now that I’m grown up, I reach out to my Beloved Dead my great aunt and grandma and my son who was murdered 4 soon to be 5 years ago. It is VERY real. Not everyone has it though. Could you imagine how OP I’d be if I was raised with training!

So happy you featured this story, and it is how I found your excellent podcast! I would like to know more about why people in Newfields disdain live music and fun so much as well. I attend these events, it is family-friendly music at reasonable times with well-managed events....ample parking, low traffic, and a police officer. I wish I was their neighbor =) What's more important is accessing local meat that is humanely raised, so lucky to have this 20 minutes from my house.

Has anyone noticed that when anyone says something questionable, Rogan immediately has Jaime check the veracity of the claim... with ZERO editing??? Joe Rogan may not be an "intellectual"... but I would argue that he is far and away the closest reference to actual reality than anyone else. Joe will never take credit for anything either. The man is humble despite his fame... the man is humble despite his physical strength, the man is humble despite his life experience... and now I am proud to say that he is a net positive for humanity as a whole. Anyone who can reverse their position, regardless of consequence, to stand up for the very reason our Republic exists in the first place, has my gratitude. Rogan is a good man. Thank the Lord that he is who he is. Like Trump and Elon... standing in the way of tyranny is worth the risk.

@kurt2612Ай бұрын
@@dsua3728 I disagree. I am one of few who looks for the unedited footage, the available documentation.. followed by a comparison of the information presented by all sides of the argument... prior to forming my opinion. I am completely unaffiliated with any political party. I have lived on multiple continents, been to over 100 countries, speak several languages and only judge when I see overt manipulation of good people. I am far from perfect but I am always fair. There is good in almost all people; however, there is one metric in common when tyranny is involved. If your livelihood requires you to repeat the party line... Then your voice isn't your own. Your voice is purchased by the ruling class. It's difficult to risk your family's lifestyle simply by sticking to your principles. Many good people are willing to sacrifice their principles to ensure that their loved ones are secure. This is noble... but when it becomes the norm... Evil always wins. I know this is an outdated thought process... but losing this courage has always resulted in the downfall of every single empire in human history. I'm willing to take the heat for my values. Are you?

I'm only ten minutes in, but as soon as she said she lives in NH... I'm half Romani (father's side) while my mum was Norwegian and German. I always wanted to look more nordic and bleached my hair growing up. I was adopted out of the culture, in NH, but knew my roots. As an adult I've embraced my heritage and find it so important to connect with my blood. I let my brown locks grow out, I no longer hide from sunshine to avoid my skin darkening. Yes I have the privileges of my mother's white-ness but always felt the connection to my Polish/Czech-settled Roma side of the family. Being raised in America it's been a bit challenging to find community that is authentic... and not this satiric 'gypsy boho nomad' bullshit I see people parade as. It's refreshing to see content like this and see that there are more of us here than I knew about. In recent years as I've become more educated and vocal and subsequently I experience more hate for it. My ex was Romanian. His family was skeptical of me and never told his grandmother I had 'gypsy' blood. Every time I go to eastern europe it makes my blood boil seeing how my people are treated. Opre Roma. Thank you for this video.

There’s no such thing as race. It’s a term no longer useful because it is known that the human race is the only race regardless of skin tone. If there is a problem with Romani culture then you’re more of a culturalist or something. But it’s not a race any more than Islam is a race. Because… there is only one race of human beings on this planet. Full stop.

There's two sides to every story, are you going to interview a neighbor to allow them to say their peace? The Vernons conduct a very one-sided, public soapbox campaign.
@SeacoastStoriesPodcast3 ай бұрын
it' a valid point, thank you for raising it. I considered it. But after doing a little research on the neighbor who is leading the charge against the Vernons, I decided he wasn't somebody I felt comfortable talking to for this podcast. During the interview, I tried to raise a counterpoint or two just to give some kind of representation to that side.

@@SeacoastStoriesPodcastI feel like they never directly acknowledge the issue of loud music *every* Fri and Sat (and sun?) through the season and I listened hoping to hear their perspective on it. Farm or not, we all have neighbors we need to manage our relationships with. When they say neighbors are complaining, people think of tractors and chickens when really it is 150+ people attending a full-on concert every weekend in a residential/agricultural space. I am following the case as I really cringe at what legal precedents they may end up setting, restricting other farms in the future due to their pushing boundaries.
@winterthorns75333 ай бұрын
Is it really any different than concerts in a residential park? When the legal complaints against the farm include forcing the farm to only sell goods they produce in their store (instead of saying hosting a local orchards apples too as well as their own goods) sounds like the neighbors problems are absolutely routed in the small group concerts that play to help with agro-tourism and promoting local bands or groups as well as local agriculture. @@MommyUP

I was going out with a girl for months, we got along great, and everything was working out. Then my brother died, and i got a bit emotional about it. That was the first time she had ever seen me depressed about something. She said that she wanted to just be friends after that. This is why men don't open up. When we do, we are treated like we are weak, and it's usually not other men who treat us that way. It's usually a woman who we thought we could trust. When you tell men that they can open up, respectfully, I think you have no idea what you are talking about.
@cori78293 ай бұрын
Did you also have that experience with other partners?
@Seth_McCollum3 ай бұрын
@cori7829 of course not. Why would I open up again when the last time it happened, I got treated that way? Most men have had this happen. It's why we have to solve our own problems and keep it to ourselves when something is wrong. I did end up seeing a therapist so I could have someone to talk to. I also have good friends to talk to if something is bothering me, but I learned that most women will leave you if you aren't strong in tough times. I know it's not all off them, but it's too risky to chance it.

@x.Lion.x when did I say that? If someone can't handle their partner crying, they aren't ready for a relationship PERIOD. Emotional intelligence goes both ways. Clearly, some people lack it, and that's OK as long as you work your way to become more emotionally intelligent. Women who can't handle seeing men cry aren't women. They're immature girls.

@muichuri3 ай бұрын
@x.Lion.x that's unfortunate, but instead of wallowing in the pity of our failed society, why don't we become the people we want in our lives? Everyone wants an emotionally intelligent partner, so to have an emotionally independent partner, you have to be emotionally intelligent yourself. The more we encourage this, the more our emotions will be normalised.
