Sbaglio ?!.

I’ve loved playing this song for so many decades. I initially learned the flute part in middle or early high school. Then, in college, I learned the piano part. It is probably my absolute favorite thing to play on piano. It’s so hauntingly beautiful. ❤

This is Emmanuel Pahud's live version. The conductor was not gentle with him with this crazy tempo. But he held on and suffered a lot. Congratulations to him for going all the way

It's not d minor but g dorian. Very common in baroque era to use dorian instead of minor (aeolian) notation .

I try to teach myself to learn to read music here. I still don't understand 😅
@jeannetteashlin17252 ай бұрын
It's easy once you know this little trick. This is how I was taught back in middle school in order to be able to read and sing music. Start with the notes on the black lines. It starts at the bottom with egbdf. You can remember it as every good boy deserves fudge. The notes that are between the lines are face. It's exactly what it spells. Higher notes above the top solid line you would need an instructor whether playing an instrument or singing. Take up the flute as it's a beautiful instrument to play. I am working on this song right now and hopefully will be able to play it at my church in December right before Christmas. 🤞
