The stuff in the plastic bag was 100% wild rabbit meat minced, The banana peel was something it dragged out of a bin bag beside the bin and seemed to enjoy playing with it. Although they are naturally Omnivores and will eat almost anything, we were careful to only give it things it could find naturally in the wild, apart from some wild bird food bought from a store(and mincing the rabbit of course) Thanks again and have a great day>

I have one also, and in the process of breaking it in (about 2,000 plus dry fires to smoothen out the mechanism), and even though I was lubing it the trigger spring eventually broke. So I had to buy a spring kit from ASG because the individual replacement trigger springs were sold out, and shipping ($30) brought the total to over USD 75 for just a spring.

Hi. Great vid. I would agree, it's primarily a night scope, and for comfort probably move the day scope around to fit? I tend to only use mine in the garden at night, we back onto fields and when it rains hard, yes there is a raty problem which comes every few months. So I don't bother moving scopes around from day position. Just to give advice to anyone, on my TX200HC (springer), the 3-9 x 50 has seen better days, the addon works fine but consistently shoots a mil low on night setting whatever I do. Remember that the knob nearest adjusts the dioptre to the screen, the other knob needs to focus on the reticule. The target focus is your scope. For day use my dioptre adjusts are pretty well screwed out anyway and IR will focus in a completely different place in a day sight. So if you have a scope with no parallax or dioptre, it will disappoint (it's a different wavelength), I pack the bayonet with the tape so the collar is very snug under the main tube as well, makes no difference. I am used to this and just shoot a mil high at night, it's probably had a ding or two. On my other one, day with the Pard, night with the Pard and day sight makes no difference at all on the zero, but it is a much newer scope and hasn't yet been subjected to years of abuse. I do have a supplementary IR torch that takes 18650's and also a visible torch which takes the same so charge in pairs anyway. I love the fact you can just use this as a thermal spotting scope as well to watch the critters, even in moon light with the torch off is really very good. All in all, these are pretty wicked things. Love mine.

Thanks Yorkshire Outdoorsman. We had a thing in the garden the other day but it was a bit chilly. I got mine out off scope and friends with no interest in shooting at all could see that bats, the badgers, some deer, and the little critters I leave alone (like field mice) that run out and take some of the dropped bird food and run away like they stole it? They are fun things even if you don't shoot.

I am a month away from getting one ,I do like the short ,was there any reason you went for the long ? I was told with air rifles barrel length dont really make much difference to accuracy? ,sorry, being an ex power burner shooter length is better ? And are you still enjoying the Vixen?
@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746
@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 8 ай бұрын
HI there. I`ve been shooting air guns for I guess about 40 years now, and in my experience I would say that barrel length does have some influence. Particularly in muzzle velocity. We are not talking huge amounts here of course.. sub 12 air rifles after all. Accuracy... well different people will have a varied opinion on that subject. I personally I chose the long kind of automatically. I have always had better results from a standard length barrel. and I like to look of it if I`m honest😁 I love my Vixen. I have fitted the metal foregrip and an AG-43 pistol grip. I am waiting for a carbon fibre barrel shroud too. I think that with the Vixen, Long or short is merely a matter of personal preference. They are both extremely good looking and excellent performing rifles 👍

@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746

Hey there. Thanks for watching. I personally prefer the 850nm IR illuminator, for two reasons. Firstly, with sub 12 airguns 850 is more than enough for the distances I will be shooting over. Secondly, the 940 will inevitably use more battery power and deplete the battery quicker. It`s just my own personal choice and opinion... Hope this helps..

Many thanks for the video, I didn't need to move my scope to obtain good results. My scope's normal eye relief is 90-100mm so even with the PARD fitted and my face pressed snuggly against the rubber eye cup it was still comfortable to use. However, if you ware spectacles that might be uncomfortable. In your recording I noticed you had black "vignetting" in the corners, I found this could be removed by finding the "sweet spot" for the mount on the ocular bell, moving it back and forwards until a full image was shown on the recordings, hope this helps, Cheers

Hi there. It Is a 4 channel model, elevator, rudder, and ailerons. so a degree of good co-ordination is required. It is however a good stable model providing it is set up and balanced well. It is light weight and as such not fond of overly windy conditions. Its fairly hardy and can withstand heavy landings as long as the wings are not hitting a tree LOL....Overall I would say it is a great beginner model as well as great fun for the more experienced model pilot.

Hi there. Possibly a loose battery? I I had a torch that did that once. I just put some silver paper in the battery cap to tighten it up. can't say I have had any problems like that with the PARD tho..thankfully. The battery life will of course depend on several things. Such as, IR illuminator use, recording, using standby mode when not actively using the scope. Even the cold weather will affect battery life.

During the daytime, Just using the unit in day mode with some occasional recording and putting it into sleep mode when not actively using it, I get at least four/five hours , possibly longer as that's the usual duration of my outings so I have not tried it for longer than that. At night I tend to use IR level 1 as I find it is plenty for my air rifles and I have not yet been out where I have had to swap out the battery. I would also make sure you check in the menu that you have nothing turned on that you don't need, such as Wi-Fi, (unless you use it of course) screen brightness and so on. Hope this helps. :)
