I n I do feel that the movie at time it was set was more time focused on Rita although at that time so much was happening with Brother Bob. Really unsure if monies made are going towards Jamaica. I would have loved that Bob's grandson Skip had played Bob's part. So much money involved who is really getting the benefits??

Rita took over the Wailers Foundation and monopolised it to suit herself and her own family. She made life miserable for original band members eg Family Man etc The Marley foundation have pedestalised Bob as a god, a messiah of their own creation- yet have treated every one else around them with financial disrespect and contempt. It’s well known how she treats people financially, all of these comments about her as some kind of blessed sister I just don’t buy for one minute.

What a great interview. Bob and Rita Marley’s story is truly beautiful and reaches deep within the heart and soul! I’m currently reading Mrs. Marley’s memoir. I’ve had tears, smiles, and laughter.

I was there too! I was in the Navy stationed in San Diego at that time. I remember a few shipmates and I took the bus to LA and stayed at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd that weekend to attend this awesome concert.

Bob and her lived separated a decade before his death. They led separate lives. He lived on Hope Road, she lived with the kids. He never considered himself married, that’s why he didn’t bother to legally break up. Countless times where he doesn’t even acknowledge her, one instance when he says “i am free, single and DISENGAGED, but i got lots of girls”. Papers don’t mean anything. Wake up.
