I bought the Williams t-handle and the shaft is not the same as Snap-on. The handle is also not as smooth, you can see and feel the seams on the Williams.

If you can get your hands on it, 30% phosphoric acid is like MAGIC for cleaning rusty steel. I had an old meat cleaver that had a thick layer of orange rust all over it. Wiped it down with a paper towel soaked in the acid and gave it a rinse. Second wipe on the spots that didn't clean up first round, and another rinse. Done. Under two minutes total. Dip in a solution of baking soda to neutralize any acid residue, dry, apply a little oil to prevent the object rusting again.

I've always soaked mine in a bucket of diesel but it would probably be better if you could eat away most of the rust first then add them to diesel to prevent them from just rusting again. Vinegar is cheap but phospho starts to get expensive

Brother, I don't know why KZbin recommended me this video, but I have a hunch. It sounds like we're both going through a rough patch. Keep doing what makes you happy. Don't stress about those that fall out of line. Most of the people we meet and call 'friends' aren't that. Keep the ones that heard you when you never said a word. I'm sticking along for the journey now. Upload whenever you can again, there's absolutely no rush, EVER. Good luck, and stay safe!

A question. If my Dietz Blizzard is full of paraffin oil and the cabin is at 23 degrees when I get there, how well will the semi solid paraffin wick up to the flame? I just tried a bottle of paraffin in a bunch of old railroad lanterns that I bought and while it works, I find the smell to be more annoying than K1. These lanterns are what I think are called "dead flame" type burners. Does paraffin work differently in hot or cold blast styles? For what it's worth, I've been using K1 in my Aladdin for decades and have had no problems with it.

@@Swampyankeehomestead I'm converting all my cheaper tools to tekton but I'm sticking with icon for some rachets, pliers and combination wrenches since they have the anti-slip feature. I'm just thankful I came across tekton because I bought icon sockets which tekton has them beat by a mile. 10-38mm kits is crazy but I love it. Have you been happy with tekton so far?
