The region where she is from called Molise received Albanians and Slavs probably from Croatia around the year 1460 and they still speak the language in nearby towns.

@@siloemascolo2769 There is no one in Croatia or Bosnia who has this Romanian genetic group. My great-grandfather was from Croatia, but had Aromanian ancestors, these Vlachs immigrated to Dalmatia from Albania and Macedonia. I was very happy when I saw your DNA test🥰

@@siloemascolo2769 exactly, together with the Arbereshe. One group probably fled to Italy, and another group to Croatia/Bosnia. In the Middle Ages, the Aromanians(Albanian Farseriots,or Cincars) were traders, today they are almost forgotten and no one knows anything more about them.

@@BBWahoo in Brasil one of most famous person is Silvio Santos (Senor Abravanel his real name) his family was from Salonica that were expelled from Spain. So I think sephardic come there there. And I think sephardic dna does not exist, there was no geographical isolation for thousands of years to create this, like the pyrenees for Iberians, islands for British, or peninsulas like Italy, Scandinavia or the Balkans. Sephardic are just Iberians converted to Judaism.

Up to date, still I really don't understand,why every p1000 zoom test KZbinr used to show meaningless blurred,shakey zoomed video?.., instead of moderate zoomed good quality videos??? normal viewer requires only clean n neat video... Just think over it next time please..

Has anyone with Arbëreshë roots show up as only Southern Italy on a DNA test? My Great Grandma her and her mother were from Vaccarizzo Albanese, and her father was from neighboring San Cosmo Albanese, both in Calabria. My Great Grandfather was from Reggio Calabria, a place called Natile I think. Anyways growing up I was told she was Albanian, and when I found the names of the Arbëreshë town she was from I took her to be Arbëreshë. My father took a DNA test, I forget by who, but it showed: Southern Italy - 47% Cyprus - 2% Senegal - 1% ( I'm going to assume the other 3% I listed to be of paternal Grandmother's side.) It said 0% Greece/Albania. On the map it circled Calabria and part of Sicily. It's very possible my Great Grandma's heritage was all Calabrese, or maybe she just spoke Arbëreshë because her and her parents came lived in Arbëreshë villages and the family assumed she was Albanian. But the old family stories I have heard make me wonder if the DNA test was incorrect or lumps Arbëreshë into Southern Italy.

The town my gf (of this dna test) is Campomarino, a town destroyed by an earthquake in 1456 (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1456_Central_Italy_earthquakes) and then Albanians moved there in 1460 after the Ottoman invasion. Nearby towns were populated by Croatians. And Albanians, Greeks and Southern Italians have about the same genetic.

@@siloemascolo2769Non abbiamo proprio la stessa genetica, forse tra greci e italiani del sud si o comunque molto simile ma se vedi i test del dna degli albanesi attuale hanno risultati piuttosto diversi, in maggioranza hanno parecchio sangue balcano anche se spesso anche una grossa percentuale di sangue greco/ sud italiano

Its maybe a 100 metres from the beach, depends on the tide but the water was shallow so could nearly walk.

@@siloemascolo2769 interesting, I intend to do myheritage DNA and 23 andme , but 23 andme does not sell to my region in Brazil, it only sells myheritage, I did the genera in São Paulo but the results changed a few percentages and I am also 19% Italian in addition to other ancestry, I sent my results to other famous calculators and had very different results

It has been amazing to find your video and have a look at the top of the hill. Now we are back in Spain, but watching your videos brings back many fond memories of our time in Ireland. Many thanks!
