I have four locks covering my one bicycle. A Hiplok Dx1000 for the body, a Litelok for the front wheel, a Kryptonite evolution for the back wheel and a small Scooter U-lock for the peddle and crank. I over did it since I had a bike stolen in downtown and I had a thin wire lock.

Cable locks are a joke.

If I had a fancy lock and somebody (not a thief, but a property owner because I locked it to their fence)cut it, I'd either cry, die, or sue. But I'm too poor to sue.

Honestly, the way he (Peewee)chained his bike is pretty good. If I was a thief(even though I was the victim of a bike theft) I would not even try to screw with that. There are so many chains wrapped around all crazy.

My favoorite tip is parking in a super market of some sort. Guards are usually around the bike racks anyway, and if you greet them and are polite they will remember you and your bike

I love how the bike thief actor is somehow walking around with a bike helmet on, just in case he finds one to steal. What a safety conscious villain. That's like making sure the condemned lady on the gallows doesn't get sunstroke!

Good about the parking meters being useful for bike parking, but unless that means they simply stopped expecting money to pay for street parking, which does rarely happen, that only means they're gouging more and probably expecting you to have to pay so much more that you can't even use coins!

I really like that it has a twisting lock feature to keep out dirt and debris. However, the mounting system is much too light for the lock, and continues to get loose/move around. It's mostly made of plastic parts, and I've had to tighten it a few times in the past week or so that I've had it. I'm worried that it's going to break off at some point while I'm riding. I'm considering just scrapping that part, but that would mean having to carry the heavy lock i my backpack and adding more weight. I wish I could have given this more stars, but without the mounting system, it's just another heavy lock that I have to cart around. UPDATE: Increased rating to 5 stars because the seller offered to provide a new lock and mounting system. Really appreciate the attention to customer service!!

The thief overcoming the bike lock with a sucker pole would be a hilarious clip on its own.

This was a nice reminder of cities gouging people on parking. The instant they started with any parking meters, and especially these new ones working on credit cards instead of nickels and dimes, they started bilking the public. Of course the issue which correlates to bikes being locked to whatever is that too many places have nothing to use for locking a bike outside to. That's more for being outside of a giant city. Being forced to drive some place over that is asinine.

Bike Index is a good place to register your bike too, if the police in your area don't take your serial number.

Always lock it next to a more expensive bike... This way the thief will target theirs 😂

Best solution? Move to Japan. Hell you could leave your bike unlocked in the centre of Shibuya Crossing and chances are no one will touch it.

a hex or allen is a good idea but if you go that route make sure to add one with a security bolt or screw per part on bike or scooter & Gas and Electric make sure you have a spare key at you're place and one at you're work and one on you self. 2 leave marking with a engraver with name and phone number if you can't do that you're self take to a bike shop or mechanic or a car body shop
