Saw this film about 20 years ago. I didn't like it and I'm surprised Roger Ebert did. Thei film is absolutely NOTHING like _The Sixth Sense_ which is an absolute masterpiece. Instead it's an unfocused mess that probably started out with a coherent and concise story but certainly didn't end that way. _Yhe Sixth Sense_ is a 4-star film all the way. _Lady In White_ is 2 at the most.

I watched this movie when i was quite young. It scared me at the time but ive really grown to appreciate it. I am now 32 and it has vividly stayed with me. I plan on introducing it to my children some day. A very nostalgic film for sure. One that serves as a delightful time capsule as well. Love it! Beautiful soundtrack as well that i often listen to.

Good movie. Gene was really off base on this one. What was he thinking?

I recently discovered that he actually gave the film a thumbs up in his print review.
@ReelNinja18 ай бұрын
I seen the film for the first time a week ago and I agree with Gene. Great film all the way up to the ending. No real justice for the victims. Not to mention, it begins with the lead character going back home but it doesn't go back to him at the cemetery. Makes the opening scene with the taxi driver pointless. 8/10. Still enjoyed it but felt like something was missing.

This might not happen but will we get a 4K UHD upgrade of “Lady in white” on all 3 cuts (Theatrical Cut, Director’s Cut, Extended Director’s Cut) of the film from Shout Factory’s OOP (Out of Print) Blu-ray releases? 35 years have passed since the movie was released theatrically and bringing this idea to light would make fans of the movie (myself included) happy. I’m thinking this would look good on 4K. Though, these are just ideas and not actual information. For picture, the detail that was a soft before on OOP Blu ray’s would look a lot more cleaner now. The dirt, grime and scratches on the film that were somewhat there before would be removed frame by frame. The grain level on this would still look the way it did on OOP Blu-ray’s and the color palette would be amplified with HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats. For audio, it could be audio options ported over from OOP Blu-ray’s. Unless I could be wrong and that it would be remastered from the already good lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track into Dolby Atmos. That would heighten the scares and the tone of the movie. It would look and sound phenomenal on 4K if Shout Factory still owns the rights to this movie. I understand if this doesn’t happen this year. We can wait next year if it ever happens. Or 5 years for its 40th Anniversary for a 4K Blu-ray release. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope you know your take on this and have a wonderful day!

God. Alex Rocco seemed like such a lovely, humble man. My heart melted when he was visiting those seniors. His character in Lady in White honestly is my favorite with how tender he is and how unafraid he is of showing his emotions and love for his sons. I read that you based his character off of your own father. So fortunate if your father was like how Rocco portrayed the dad in the film.

Its so great to see this! No kidding, the other day I was watching Fear no Evil, and I've always loved Lady in White. I bought Lady in White a while back on DVD and it had as a bonus a presentation reel. The clips shown in this program seem different from that reel. Was there more than one? My dad and I always loved horror movies and one of his favorites was Fear no Evil. Stefan Arngrim was so good in that, he had that look. (I'm familiar with Land of the Giants) Thanks for the post, Lady in White is so special, its classic!

These clips are from the same promo reel that we shot to screen for stockbrokers across the country to get them behind selling our stock issue and raise the 4.7 million to make the film. I'm in the process of building an website dedicated to "Lady" and "Fear" as well as other projects. When it's completed, one will be able to access materials from my private collection including close to 250 print articles that were published throughout the world during "Lady's" release.

I was hoping to see a behind the scenes of the bit where Katherine Helmond floats down the stairs behind Frankie but instead I saw the actual moment from the film again and it still scares me so much at age 40!
