Great performance. Love early Duran Duran. Always like Andy's guitar riffs, John's groovy bass, Roger's insane drumming, Nick's great synth atmosphere and Le Bon's energy.

I saw the Cars Day on the Green Oakland CA. I remember the first Cars song that absolutely flipped me out when I heard it over the air was Good Times Roll. Everything about it - the opening drum beat, Elliot’s ridiculously awesome guitar, Ric’s lyrics, those backing vocals…what a great time to be young in 1978.

According to Andy's book, his amps went dead and they ended up getting a replacement from Jimmy Page. Hence the somewhat confused looks and demeanor of the band.

I would pay $$$$ for those red pants :) But seriously, I'm usually not a fan of live versions but these guys kill it every time, especially back in the day. The studio versions don't do them justice. I admit to being a Ben Orr fan but good grief this man could sing. However, I do love how he loses his voice at 2:32, and doesn't miss a beat. True confidence and I so wish I could have seem them live.
