At 12:25 afterwards the tron player loses his blue mana (assuming that the land destruction spell was cast at the first main phase), but the ponza player is at fault for don't naming the phase, I think.

Wait. How did he get to cast the Wurm via frantic search discard? Doesn't the discard occur before you untap thr three lands?

Trying to kill Mongrel with Fire feels like a mistake. It's paying 2 to make your opponent choose and discard a card, that's a terrible deal. Using Ice to tap it and draw a card saves you more life while digging you deeper to the combo.

I never cared for arrogant wurm, I would use roar of the wurm back in the old days. I also used mindless automaton, so my judgement may have not been the best

@15:07 the only reason I can think of is that you do gotta fight through Davids interaction at some point, and it is -1 card out of the hand.. Regardless though it still is -2 out of your hand, which puts you in a weaker spot should a Bottomless Pit have to be cast the following turn.

My heart was definitely with the stompy deck 😍 it was the first deck i ever built when i got into magic 25 years ago. I love how aggro he played that first game and i love that he plays mtenda lion, what nostalgia! I also love playing the druid pitching the land grant I used to run cursed scroll to deal amage once you cant get through, cradle guard, and spectral bears which i would untap with quirion ranger Thank you for this channel, it brings back so many memories!

Terrageddon player here: the Oaths are part of a transformational sideboard. Against creature heavy decks I sideboard out all the creatures except Terravore and bring in 4 Oaths and 3 Enlightened Tutors. Also, at the end of game 3 I realized I should have sac'd all my lands to Orb before Armageddon resolved. I realized this just after it happened. This was my first tournament with the deck.

What a shame the green fatties list didnt get to go off, i was really looking forward to seeing it in action, a mate in my playgroup used to play something similar 20 years ago. Essentially natural order + elf = verdant force

Cool decks, though not sure if I’d call them brews? Pyro Oath I think was one of the premier Oath decks in the early days of the format. I’ve had a version in my spreadsheet to build for a while now: with the exception of Pyro it’s all available new border and so is fairly cheap. I don’t know if I’ve seen video coverage of it before and it does look sweet though. So thanks! Might have to grab those C14 Oaths and actually get it assembled.
