NORWEGIAN SUCKS........Bought insurance thru Norwegian for a cruise to Greece in September 2023. A week before leaving we had to cancel the trip, and we thinking we had bought the travel insurance that we would be reimbursed for our trip. Here we are almost a year later and they are saying we won't get our money back but they will apply it to another cruise. That's not why we purchase travel insurance, it is to be reimbursed if the trip has to be cancelled. They owe us 6500.00 and to me that is not a drop in the hat. Why should I be forced to book another cruise with all of the added expenses because NORWEGIAN doesn't want to honor their insurance policy that they offer to customers. How fucking wrong is that?

Were the terms of the travel insurance plan a cash refund or a future cruise credit? If the latter, then you received what you were entitled to. If you'd like to hire me to plan your cruise using the future cruise credit, I'm happy to help!

I am now 81yrs. I joined the Navy in 1960. My 1st Duty Station was a Destroyer in Pearl Harbor. I recall how EVERY Navy Ship would Render Honors to the Arizona as we passed by entering the Harbor. ❤

Late morning is best time to visit. Sun is high enough to give a better view into the water but don't have afternoon breezes that disturb the surface of the water. If you are lucky enough to smell the leaking fuel oil you are smelling the same fuel oil they smelled on Dec 7th!

Saw it while on my honeymoon in 1970. Seeing the oil still seeping to the top was eerie. In 1970 there would only let us take pictures in certain places on the way to the memorial. I never understood what that was all about but of course, I obeyed.

Sailors. And why? Most of the remains were incinerated within a completely devastated hulk that sat underwater for 4 years before any resources would have been available to undertake an effort. There probably wasn't anything left to recover which was worth the risk and effort it would take. Better to let them remain together within their revered tomb.

@@Queen_banana1983 I'm pretty sure any sailor that was alive and could be rescued after the ship sank actually _was_ rescued. But the vast vast majority of sailors and marines who died on the Arizona were killed instantly when the forward magazine exploded.

Tips for people: Remember, the soldiers are (as normal) very serious, do not anger them. Also, you can put flowers into the water from either the middle area shown, or the 2 windows (there's 7 on each side.)

No, I booked through Viator. There are so many more options through third parties, and often less expensive than what the ship quotes. But you need to make sure you pay attention to times, know if transportation is or isn't included, and read the fine print twice. Unfortunately, due to bomb damage to both the fuel bunker and the ships hull, along with the nature of the fuel oil, draining the bunker, without creating an instant major ecological disaster, is still not likely.

Great video I’m doing this in October. I hope the weather is ok. What are you top 3 excursions to do if we were only to pick 3 excursions. Some days we just want to stay on the ship

Honestly, we enjoyed all of the excursions immensely. Each port was unique. A sea day would have been nice, but I'm glad we didn't skip any ports to hang back on the ship. That said, if I had to pick my most favorite ports, they would be Zakynthos, Dubrovnik, and Kotor.
