Though the quality of live coverage is fantastic there are a few things the broadcaster needs to keep in mind to take it a few notches higher. For one, the replays are a bit too long and by the time they end a crucial part of live play is lost. This needs to be rectified Secondly, the commentator needs to be more cued into the proceedings. For instance, in the first set when Kerala all over the Madras team and was leading 16-13 or so, he was going ga-ga over how the Madras team was putting Kerala on the mat and getting it all mixed up. He can definitely improve upon his usage of the appropriate technical terms while commentating. I just hope my observations are not seen as criticisms but as constructive feedback. As a former player and lover of Volleyball I would want to see a lot of professionalism in all aspects of live coverage to attract more viewers. Best regards to the Netmasters team who are doing a fabulous job!🎉🎉🎉

It was the second league match for both the teams. They had both played their first league matches yesterday in the evening. Host Kerala lost a tough 5-setter against Calicut and the two teams from Chennai, Madras University and SRM University played in the other fixtures. Madras defeated SRM in straight sets without dropping a set. This is the Semifinal league where all the 4 semifinalists play each other and the winner of most matches is crowned the champion of South Zone. But, all the four teams have advanced to the All-India Inter-Universty championships to be held in January, 2025. They will be joined by the semifinalists of the other zones. In the evening, Madras squares off with Calicut and SRM take-on Kerala in their last league encounters. Kerala is virtually out of the reckoning for the 1st place. The South zone champions could be decided by the match between Calicut and Madras.
