These are the kinds of interviews I love to see Matt and Trey do. They’re comfortable there, in a group of people who clearly appreciate their craft and are interested to hear what they have to say, and they feel free to share openly about the things we all wonder. Amazing segment, and a legit shoutout to the folks who made this happen. These two are absolute legends, nothing but love. “Everything is fair game, or nothing is fair game. There is no middle ground.”

If I made my character the poor kid in the show I would definitely feel the need to reach out to my old mate and give him a job on a show or at the very least write him a small cheque. If you can spend mega millions on a fucking restaurant then you can help your old pals. Anyway, Merry Christmas you bastards.

The whole "and then this happens" was almost 3 hours of once upon a time in hollywood. That movie sucks hard.

Only then, once you understand this rule, you can break it. You can have A and B and C happen seemingly independently, and then have events that happen because of C, D happens, but then because of B, D is interrupted with E, and because of A, F happens simultaneously, which creates dilemma G, where an unseen event (H) that was mentioned in C causes the adversaries of E and F to conflict, so the one from E forgives D and helps the crew get through G to reach payoff J and wrap up the main story of C-D-J… To simplify it with an idiom, a pistol in act 1 should be later fired (Chekhov’s gun)

OMG yes. I'm not in the movie business and even I know this!! It amazes me that so many movies are so badly written, when literally half the planet could write a better script... I honestly believe half the movie business is mentally challenged family of whoever owns the movie.

These two are to be beloved for years. Nobody has ever made a stand against the rest of Hollywood like Matt, Trey, and Ricky Gervais. The three of them will live forever for what they’ve done.
