According to Google Gemini: 1. Convert the length of The Mall to metres: * 0.93 km * 1000 metres/km = 930 metres 2. Assume an average length for a London double-decker bus: * Let's use 10.5 metres as a reasonable average length. 3. Divide the length of The Mall by the average bus length: * 930 metres / 10.5 metres/bus ≈ 88.6 buses Answer: Approximately 89 London double-decker buses would need to line up end-to-end to match the length of The Mall.

If you go to Apple Maps and type a destination you can share that to Garmin Connect and it will create a route you can send to your watch. You are right it’s hard work to get it working. I haven’t used Apple Watch since series 2 or 3 😂 Been tempted for an Apple Watch Ultra but I guess my issue is I like my Garmin because it’s very good at tracking overall fitness and I like my watch to just be a watch I don’t want notifications going off. What I want is to hit the shutter button to grab a still, without stopping the actual recording! It's only a minor thing, but helps.

I have all the notifications off from my phone I just use it as a watch/fitness tracker. I hope Garmin update their CPUs on these watches though as they have been using the same one now for a long time and it’s showing its age for sure. Great vid buddy, very useful for me as a newbie to this camera and someone with ADHD who can get confused easily at times. My only critique is regarding the vertical filming. As most socials are 1080p, filming in 4k won't be required and doing it in 3k means smaller file size, not to mention you lose some flexibility when turning the camera on its side. This might be only relevant to me, as I'm a power wheelchair user and film whilst on the go, so require flexibility and can capture killer motion shots of the chairs wheels etc

I use an Apple Watch Ultra, a Garmin bike computer and I have a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro. I came to understand how pointless the deluge of fitness data the Garmin ecosystem spews. I listened to the Apple Watch doesn’t do HRV well arguments but found that while the actual numbers differed, the trends were the same. The Ultra does a great if not better job of tracking sleep. Likewise Heart Rate. I see the Fenix 8 as being an overpriced showplace watch, a bit like a Ferrari with a 1 litre engine. I’m definitely not changing to one of the two banks supported for Garmin Pay and I like the fact the Watch unlocks my phone and Mac, authenticates passwords etc - adding up that saves me so much time. I do still wear my Fenix 6xPro on long bike rides outdoors to use as a backup to my Garmin Edge 1040 Solar bike computer.

Ah, if it were that easy, right? You perfectly frame my problems with the Apple watch: a rectangular touch-based smartwatch first, a sports watch second, while there's that manly, burly, and ROUND Garmin. Easy one.... until one gets to the metrics stuff. Turns out, the nerdy smartwatch is WAY more precise than the testosterone booster, and not by a small margin. This finally led me to decide what would be the lesser problem in everyday use: The Garmin is simply the best choice for people who hate touch screens, love practical tools, and choose to have a watch still resembling the tradition in most ways. But it's a closer call than I thought.
@timarnoldpt20 күн бұрын
the Garmin definitely has that rugged, "I can hike a mountain and still look good" vibe! But who knew choosing a watch could feel like picking a side in a tech battle royale? 😂

my humble opinion: These Ultra and big Garmins are simply unsuitable for any activities. They have soft materials and a large size, which means they are destroyed after a few months. They are also uncomfortable and too bulky. Apple’s battery life is simply ridiculous for sport-oriented watches. A small plastic watches like Garmin Instinct 2S or g-shock 5600 are much more durable and convenient to use than all these hipster-barbershop-activity-focused watches.

I disagree too, I've been wearing the Enduro 2 for awhile now and taken it rock climbing, mountaineering, trail running, backpacking, MTB and lots more, it basically looks brand new still, no scratches on the screen and only the tiniest little mark on the bezel. This thing is crazy tough and gorgeous. This thing is everything an outdoorsman needs, don't have to bring anything else, no phone, no maps, no compass, nothing. The instinct doesn't even have maps for goodness sack.

Do you need to try a 47mm Fenix 8 (or 7pro, slightly bulkier), with a nylon strap (I hate silicone) for casual and sport and true leather o steel/titanium for more formal use. Is absolutely not bulk, soft or cheap. Fenix is very durable even in the "simple" steel+gorilla glass version. I had multiple impact (falling on rocks also) on my previous Fenix 6 and Fenix 7pro an I had no damage at all. Simply changing watchface an band can also totally transform the apparente from a sport oriented device to a elegant device for daily and formal use
@JasonRaneses12 күн бұрын
You lost me at soft materials. The 51mm variants are indeed too big for many, especially their depth. See the Enduro 3 as an example, even though it’s relatively light. All that said, you can’t really generalize which watch is best for everyone. It is very subjective.

Previously i only had apple watches. 41 and 45mm . What I found out that the HR sensor on ligher and smaller watches are much more accurate during activities like crossfit. Now with Gamin Epix Pro 51mm the watch itself is much bigger and during crossfit training it is more vulnerable to movements and vibrations on the wrist. I had terrible HR readings because of that. However the overall experience for workouts with Garmins are much much better for me than Apple. The HR problems i solved with chest strap Polar H10 and this is generally best setup I had. Good Luck :)
