I got to fish with Ed in a BASS Southern open on Lake Toho, as a Co-angler, the year before he qualified for the Elites. Ed is a great guy and made every fish count that day. Ed’s Basscat Eyra was the fastest boat I have ever ridden in. I really enjoyed fishing that day. Yes, every bite does count. Thanks John and Ed.

I can't remember every 5+LBER I've caught in a tournament but still remember 2 I lost at the boat that cost me a tournament win. Like it just happened.

I got one better. My fishing partner caught #5 around 2 lb., but threw him back without me knowing. My partner thought we already had 5 bigger fish in the LiveWell. We never got another bite and we ended up weighing in 4 fish and 7 ounces out of the money.

And that Combat Rat is amazing… I’ve got plenty of catches 3-9lbs here in the far north east on that bait. Bass HATE that thing.

this video is really well put together, and the insights on lures are super helpful! but honestly, i think some of those lures might work better for specific conditions rather than just in the fall. like, wouldn't a spinnerbait be more effective in the early morning than a jig? just curious what others think!
@IncredibleMomentsVivid-g5o19 күн бұрын
great video, john! love the old school lures you showcased. honestly though, i'm kinda surprised you didn't mention the benefits of using newer techniques too. sometimes the classics are awesome, but mixing in some modern strategies might really up the game for fall bass fishing, don't you think?

Fantastic summary, can I ask you if you think the clarity of the water interferes in this process? I always see your videos and I really appreciate what you do even from another continent. I would always have my support. Compliments for everything and thank you.Gianluca

I love those baits! I have caught so many fish on them. Wish I could get them in black neon and junebug/red. The bomb shot and the 4.5 Quiver works really good on a ned rig too. Thanks for making so many awesome fish catching baits.

On SML, either your pattern is off or you are not around where the bait is. It can be frustrating at times

I often look at what pre-weather they like. Get there too late in a weather pattern, and the bite tapers off. They love pre and rain... get into a 1 of straight rain. It's not the same as the 1st day... is the "cloudy day" because we are pre - or post frontal, etc...
