My wife and I took this so-called first class sleeper a few years ago. It was awful, the staff were rude, shouting at the passengers, the tv was broken, the cabin was freezing cold, we had one blanket each which was thin and wasn't long enough to cover the whole body, there was only enough hot water for one shower and the towels they provided were so old and thin they were like see-through lace. I was in the top bunk which had no rail to stop me rolling off so I was too worried to sleep even if I had been warm enough to do so. God knows what the breakfast was but it was inedible. Absolutely horrible.

Hey man, thanks for the video. Can I ask you something please? On 2:22 you mention that "You ofcourse can book and pay for your own ASQ". I thought that's the only option of getting to the Thailand. Can you please say how did you sort out your hotel? Thank you dude
@Escapetraveler3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for confusion. I was referring to those who are thai passport holder or family of thai passport holder who can use state quarantine (SQ) and has the option to do ASQ. For all non thai passport holders, you have to do ASQ.

I am planning to go in February 2021 for 3 days ( coming from the UK) . Im a bit confused on how i will have to quarantine for 14 days as I only plan to stay for 3 days . Do you know the procedure for someone in my situation ?
@Escapetraveler3 жыл бұрын
Regardless of length of your stay, you will still have to quarantine for 14 days. So if you need 3 days in thailamd, then you will need 17 days (14 days in quarantine and 3 free days)
@MrSurferman933 жыл бұрын
I’m trying to go in April. What do I need to do? What do I need to have? I keep reading conflicting articles one saying only non Thai students and Thai nationals can enter. Also how much with the ASQ be? The article I read was you have to book it prior to travel, also can you have visitors? (I know it sounds like a dumb question but my girlfriend lives here. So if not I’ll only see her for 1 week) Thanks I’m advance! I can’t find any info and any info info find is conflicting
@Escapetraveler3 жыл бұрын
Anyone can go into Thailand right now, as long as you do the 14 days Quarantine. ASQ ranges 30000-60000 thai baht for the 14 days. No, u cannot have visitors. Follow the instruction at the bottom of the video.

The railway track from Gemas to Johor Bahru is currently being upgraded to double track electrified. The direct train service would resume once the upgrading is completed in 2022.
@HBC101TVStudios3 жыл бұрын
@@yewjin6107 Yes but it will be ETS only and no longer Intercity trains hauled by diesel locomotives, unless there's enough demand by the people for the restoration of the Ekspres Peninsular service.
@yewjin61073 жыл бұрын
@@HBC101TVStudios A trip from JB to KL will be shortened to just 4.5hrs. Unless there is a direct train from JB to Ipoh - Butterworth, I dont think sleeper train will be popular. Short journey yet expensive.
@HBC101TVStudios3 жыл бұрын
@@yewjin6107 Yes, I agree with you that EDTP will significantly cut travel time between KL and JB. However, in the JNK and MRFC FB group - even on KZbin, many people proposed KTM to restore the Ekspres Peninsular service for tourism purposes. So tourists would have the choice of either taking the fast ETS to KL or Pdg Besar from JB Sentral or take the conventional Ekspres Peninsular 20/21 to KL or directly to Hat Yai without the need of switching trains to the International Express 45/46 at Pdg Besar. In my opinion the Intercity trains are much cheaper in terms of ticket despite the food in the buffet coach being as pricey as the ones on the ETS. But at least it's a la carte & freshly cooked by the chef on board unlike the ETS in which the food is fully packed and microwaved. And also, the aura or environment while on board Peninsular is definitely different from ETS.

Aircond Days Night Sleeping Second Class (ADNS).
@HBC101TVStudios3 жыл бұрын
Not as of 2014, as some of the first class coaches (especially the ADNFs from the JR Blue Trains) are damaged due to the Kelantan floods. Only ADNS are available for the ERT 26/27.

yaasine bolaky since last year this train no more operation.. the line will be replacing to electric trains so currently you can ride only until Gemas and change to commuter train to continuing journey to KL.
@HBC101TVStudios3 жыл бұрын
@@Sham2951 No. Sleeper trains are currently available for the JB Sentral-Tumpat route (ERT 26up/27dn) and Padang Besar-Bangkok route (IE 45up/46dn) only. Also KTM Commuter's southern terminus has been truncated to Pulau Sebang/Tampin so Intercity passengers from JB have to disembark at Gemas and take the ETS to either Tampin (if you wanna make a rail connection to Commuter) or straight away to KL Sentral and all the way up to Padang Besar.

@Escapetraveler8 жыл бұрын
+DaZ316 Correct, if you plan to spend the night at Ollytaytambo. You can also go from Cusco to Aguas Calientes in the morning. However, both means you will miss the 6am sunrise at Machu Picchu, which is beautiful. Our suggestion is to spend the night at Aquas Calientes and go up to MP early
