I can play the right hand of this. I always thought it was shubert, but i hummed into google and it found it! My mom would play it to "warm up" and I must have heard it thousands of times! My mom has dementia and I don't think she would remember unless I could play it for her. I'm so excited to try asking her if she remembers, it's so hard to connect with her sometimes

My favorite of the Brahms violin sonatas. There's this quiet electricity you can feel at the start of the 1st movement. The return of the theme in the recap is a more passionate statement. Amazing

Chopin actually wrote this when he waa just 19 years old!!! The piano part is super beautiful, yet it is extremely difficult to play, Chopin is truly the prince of piano in the whole history of music. How amazing our God is!

Of course, because it is Chopin, the piano part must be more virtuosic than the cello part…😂😂

Beautiful music, but not a truly outstanding interpretation. Much prefer Oistrach or amazing live recording of Ginette Neveu and brother Jean...

OK. What's with the cello part? It scarcely resembles the score at the end.

I'm almost done with getting this piece down-it's been about a year (I'm kind of a beginner and I don't practice enough). I think my family members have this seared into their brains forever. But my trills (or whatever they're called) are not happening. I really want to get them good. I know, keep practicing!!

Already here the genius has unfolded his wings. If we comoare it to Chopins op. 1 written at the age of 15 - what a developpment. So Elsner while not being able to teach him pianotechnique (He was predominantly a violinist) he may have unfolded his sense melodic beauty.

Difficult to play Great for practice I didn’t believe I’d be able to play it after 3 hours. Then it kind of clicked. Hard to explain. Left Right 2 part- counterpoint. Finally after 30 years. Kidding

The polonaise starts at 3:28. The music before it was an introduction, hence the title 'Introduction and Polonaise brillante'.
