As a survivor of verbal abuse as a child. Words indeed do make a difference. I've always felt stupid, ugly, worthless and just not ever enough. I know these aren't true. I saw the movie The Help and I love these affirmations. I am thinking of putting "You is Kind, You is Kind, You is Important" on a post it on my mirror. My lovely nieces are learning to read and I know they will try reading it. Maybe they will try reading it every day. 😊

Her old nightclub was Club Curves/Club Moxie. I would love for her to reopen it. It was the greatest nightclub in the world, and the other BBW nightclubs are good but not as good as hers

I'm trying to get help for my older sister who we know was misdiagnosed decades ago and it's so obvious she has Williams syndrome and in fact a long time ago the genetics department at Philadelphia's Jefferson Hospital also were positive she has it but she did not want to deal with any more doctors and long story short everyone still thinks she has Turner syndrome and she would have ceased living a long time ago because they don't live real long .

I have a weekly team build call with my management team and we have a practice of taking turns sharing inspirational videos at the start of our meeting before we get into the nitty-gritty of operations. I shared this video with the group and it was so well received. It was amazing to hear how Angel touched each of them uniquely. Some related to Angel's character as a student, some related to the single mother, some related to the father figure being burdensome (to say the least). We all understood the message of letting go and we all commit to "drop it like it's hot"! Truly incredible. Angel's bravery in sharing this depth of her persona gave each of us a tremendous takeaway that will live in our hearts.

This video should get a lot more views now because of the infamous Rachel Lee (The Bling Ring). I thought this was about her (from the new Netflix docuseries). It's fine, I'm happy to have found the video. 😃
