They really need to have all the trains go under the road and have it look like the Solana Beach station because this crossing is getting way too busy now with too many trains and it's backing up traffic.

Freight trains are more fascinating to see than the commuter trains in downtown San Diego…. It’s too bad they can’t blow their horns when they pass…. Now I can understand why people & vehicles get ram by trains, it’s due to the bell sound at the crossing gate, they should bring back the actual bell sound they had back in the late ‘80s.

One of my favorite railroad crossings because of that healthy bell. That bell can ring non stop for almost an hour and it still stays healthy.

I don’t feel bad for freight trains building up traffic in the daytime & blowing their horns nighttime. They have a demanding job so they should do what they have to do here in downtown San Diego. If residents here don’t like the noise or it’s disturbing them then they should move.
