It was pretty hard to see how to use this machine in your video because the machine was out of shot most of the time. I have this machine and am very disappointed with it.

If you want to do more of a shape with the glue method, you can use a stencil and the dot glue. It won't be solid (though you cooould probably roll over more to fill in more spots but the dots are cute so why would you), but you can get the shape.

I have had this trimmer for e few years now. I keep it in my travel craft bag for travelling or going to events as it has multiple blades and scoring in one cutter. There is a small lip that the paper/cardstock sits against this helps to line it up and stops the paper from moving when you cut it. The lip lines up with the pull out arm so you can cut larger sheets of paper without them moving. It is a great travel trimmer. I do have an oversized trimmer in my studio.

Thank you the ideals on washi tape cards. Don't have a lot of tape, but when I see it on sale, will buy it. Thanks again.

I bought a kodak mini printer and my pictures started coming out pink, so I bought a Sprocket. Same problem. Come back and do an update after using it for awhile. I think there are serious issues with the thermal paper and would love to find a fix. Once in awhile i get a good picture but most have the pinkish tint and some even have lines through them,

I love this method, it seems like the more intricate details like the nice lettering works better than a large non detailed piece.

A good informative video, but why 45mins of dreadful music.. commentary had to be muted 5 mins in cos I couldnt handle the boring repetitive music you kept in the background and talked over in varying volumes. Either commentaries or music but not both especially music for 45mins. Thanks for taking the time to make it but perhaps craft with commentary minus music, I like quiet too.

thanks for the comparison. I wanted to do hot stamping DIY lately, and have been researching. Conincidentally, I have the same Lowell Laminator, and was thinking if I could just use it to DIY, instead of investing a whole new DIY machine. and really greateful you have people here who comment and gave new ideas to it. Thanks allot again. Spotlight rocks.

I love the honest review and seeing the board in action. I can see the tab depth as being a real advantage if one is making dividers for a storage box. Easy to see, easy to grasp.

Hi from Sweden! Thank you so much for doing this series! I’ve been doing cards for some years but I haven’t been able to get a cutter or a die machine before just a couple a years ago. I WISH I would’ve had access to a series like this when started out. I’m looking forward to the background episode but I’m gonna save that for tomorrow (or today evening) because it’s about 1.45 a.m here now 😅 I really feel like this kind of series are rare which is really weird to me… I mean-We’re all beginners at some point and let me tell you how much stuff/products I bought because I saw it on social media and I was told that I could not make a card without it. I’m a bit embarrassed about that because before all of my research I was making cards with scissors, colored and printed paper/ card stock. Maybe some stickers… And I just wrote some sentiments or something on the inside/outside and I made more cards that way. Now when I have all the supplies I bought I realize that I don’t need half of them and the things I’d need or like to have I don’t have. So I think this is a great idea and initiative by you to make a series about the basics of card making! Go You 🙌🏼💯‼️
