Thanks very much for this tutorial Monsen. I have been battling all day and most of yesterday with getting WMDC to recognize my Trimble Nomad when I plug it in. I get the chime from my laptop when I plug in the USB cable suggesting a successful connection, but WMDC failed to recognize it. Turned out the fix was clicking the USB to PC icon on the device, and unchecking the Enable advanced network functionality box. When I plugged by USB back into my laptop WMDC recognized it right away. Your post was extremely valuable and much appreciated.

To all, Well my point was, not many surveyors I know would have a 'point cloud' laser site scanner in the first place due to high cost, just a humble theodolite. So is this SU extension for high end of the surveying market...??
