All very lovely and fashionable jackets but you haven't spoken about any safety ratings. How fashionable is this going to feel if you come off your scooter sliding down the road??

So after your speed has been adjusted prior to taking the curve, do you the apply rear brake, keep the brake in that position and turn with that rear break still in that position?

Really helpful. I discovered the steady throttle with rear brake control accidentally years ago and it works on any size bike. With my senior years upon me and being part disabled, I am much more comfortable with a scooter now for dy to day riding. Unfortunately in the states, scooters are not seen yet as a real bike and so model choices are very limited. This is especially true for the maxi scooter range. Thanks

Use sinter brake pads and brake hoses reinforced with metal mesh. If brakes are good then one or max two fingers are enough. Always keep one finger ready on brake levers. Always brake simultanously with front andv ear brakes. Brake progresively- squeez levers, don't hit them. Well explained, thx!

nice video, but no mention of countersteering, you need to learn and practice active countersteering to pass the riding test and use it to save your life, check it out !!

Great information! I see a lot of motorcycle riders who are new drivers altogether. They have not had experience driving a car, so do not know the vision blind spots, as well as other car limitations. They also don't realize when overtaking a car, especially at a high rate of speed, that the car probably didn't even see them coming, unless they are checking their rear view mirror often. As I age I realize that a scooter/motorcyclist has to be overly defensive in their riding. Thanks again, You are saving lives!

Love your advices. Still I'm a beginner in scooter and yet I'm scared to drive but I'm eager to learn about it. Thank you.

I was so nervous my first few rides, I've been on the road for 2 weeks now and feel so much more confident. Just keep alert and remember to keep doing your visual checks when moving lanes or coming to brake where necessary. Your nerves will go and you'll confidence will grow. Keep safe and safe riding

'Look where you want to go, never at where you don't want to go' Now, that's what I call good advice because I am a learner and invariably i find myself going when I am not supposed to go. Just the other day I startled an elderly pedestrian by veering right towards him. I wanted to go the other way but I found myself going towards him. He didn't like it one bit and gave me a dirty look. Now I shall try not to look at where I don't want to go. Thank you Ken for this valuable tip

I have a problem with hitting my knees with the handlebars when making tighter turns, due to my stupidly long legs :( I either have to lean my legs to the opposite direction of the turn, or fold them under, like on a motorcycle, which makes slow speed manoeuvres tricky and annoying.

I came off on a bend on my second ride out 2 weeks ago. I rode 54 miles but falling off 5 minutes from home 😢 I didn't slow down before the bend I must of applied breaks on it. Only scratches on paintwork thank god and a hairline fracture in hand. Back out this evening for the first time, hence watching this video l. A bit nervous but been told if dont go on might never do it 😊

I spent HOURS watching these videos 8 years ago when I started on my first scooter (in my 60's!!). I passed my motorcycle skills test and my road test because of you and these videos Ken. Every once in a while, when I start to feel too comfortable, and maybe complacent, I come back for a refresher, like today... Wish I could have gone down-under for some hands-on lessons.

So am I to understand that "trail breaking" is not to be done on a scooter only motorcycle in corners? I'm not sure if the term "tail breaking" is exclusively a American colloquialism.
