Optical Coherence Tomography - Brezinski Tutorials This is a series of lectures on optical coherence tomography (OCT) starting with its history, then physics/technology, and finally moving to clinical applications. The focus is on developing imaging in non-transparent tissue, which represents most of the body’s tissues (cardiology/plaque, GI/Barrett, etc. The eye, which has transparent tissue, is much simpler. I have been doing OCT research since the early 1990’s and our team was the first to successfully image in non-transparent tissue. A substantial amount of work was done in collaboration with James Fujimoto PhD.
