Wow, that motor looks decently sized, not too big. What's the horse power on that? I am looking for a 3 phase induction motor to have 0.75 - 1 HP, and hope it wouldn't be bigger than your motor. If a bit smaller, even better. So, in order to make a rough idea of what sizes to expect to find, I wonder what's the horse power on the motor you are showing in this video? P.S. Why not just use an existing, commercially available VFD? I suppose you can find one as bare-bones as possible, without the case and controlling knob and button, that supports connecting an Arduino to it?... I mean, with your setup it looks like you need a power supply, but with an existing VFD the power supply is already built in, right? You take current straight from the wall and from the VFD it is sent to the motor, nothing else in between, as far as I could see.

I'm astanded, I won't never be able to develop a project like this... Did you develop the code in c/c++ on your own or it's a your colleague's development ? Are you an electrical engineer ?

where are the heatsinks? never seen an inverter without heatsinks!!! this thing won't work in real life, one of the mosfets (the one with least resistance path) will get hot, suck all the current (because it is hotter) and burn
@JaenEngineering2 ай бұрын
MOSFETs have a positive temperature coefficient, so the exact opposite will happen. As the temp increases so does it's internal resistance so it pulls less current.

Why haven't you consider using ir2104 gate driver (which have a single input) instead of nand gate ic and ir2113 gate driver? Is there any specific reason?

I also have a similar motor, it says 195v can i run it on 230v. And does it matter how to connect the 3 phases? And i have @home a 380v 3 phase 50hz connection, would it also work with that? I know without the possibility to control the speed. Cool video

@@ATLabENG I would probably buy just now one of your boxes if they were for sale. You can skip yellow box and you can put all the parts in a simple gry IP56 PVC box with couple of holes for the buttons.

I have a washing machine motor and it has only 3 wires.how should i wire it.?
@ATLabENG5 ай бұрын
Only three wires is most probably a thre phase motor.. you have to use an inverter, please check my channel to see the inverter circuit

Thank you for this video. It has helped me with a project requiring low RPM and high torque. I have used the motor to drive a small industrial sewing machine and it been successful in doing what I required. My only problem is the arcing that occurs across the terminals of the foot switch. The arcing occurs when the switch is released. I'm thinking it is because of a back EMF that is induced by the motor. I tried a capacitance and resistance snubber circuit with no success. I guessed the values of the components. Have you any advice?
