I'm glad to see the stage coach and "Float Trip". I remember those rides as a kid and seeing the video brought back so many good memories.

The two mules are probably Sam and Jake, my grandfather's mules that he sold to SDC. They used to pull the stagecoach ride, and here I see they're pulling a wagon. They were very mean mules, and chased us kids around when we visited Grandpa's farm. SDC, though, was a lot better in these days. They had the Western town, with an ice cream parlor, a candy shop, a theater where they played silent films, a jail, shootouts, and lots of interesting sights. Now it's just a tourist trap.

Earlier today I learned of the passing of JayAdams (Brcc & Excogi) by motorcycle...Cool way to go I thought Then I happen upon your fine detail oriented review on a brand previously unknown and then youtube autoplayed to Keannu showing off his personal bike collection plus his bike brand ARCH...Clearly I need to take a class and start riding...I love the saying that "you never see Bikes parked at Psych offices or clinics." Its so true...TY

Florida to California - let me know, any of u electric scooter people, when u want to make the trip. I’ll b riding my ‘14 Honda Valkyrie and u guys ride ur electric scooters. The infrastructure is not in place for the scooters to recharge so, I guess I’ll b making the trip solo. Takes me a leisurely 10 minutes at any number of gas stations to fill up and get back on the road. // What does that yellow sticker w/the number 5 on it, read? Is that how long the battery lasts? If so, u can bet my Honda will last much, much longer than ur scooter battery. Nitwittery!! // It’s ur money, u throw it away at ur peril.

I have a 2016 SR with the ZF14.4 batt. Basically exact same bike as your 2018 less the Charge Tank yours has. I only commute 8 miles round trip and it's all street riding here in Las Vegas for me so I leave it in Eco mode. I only need to plug it in to the wall once every other week.

Have you ride it with let’s say 20% battery? If so, have you noticed if the top speed decreases?

I would purchase one of these if my nearest dealership wasn't 7600km away. I would probably go with the dsr model.

So what does it cost you to fill it up to 100%? Like $2.50ish? I want to get one just like that. I like the big 14.2 battery.

Can you put aftermarket electronics on this thing, like a stereo? Granted it will drain the battery, I know, but I'm curious if that sort of thing is even possible with a fully electric motorcycle?
@DustyStormVideos6 жыл бұрын
Yes for sure, it has an extremely powerful 12vdc system. I would not worry about draining the battery unless you are hooking up lots of heated accessories.

Since this is not a combustion engine, and therefore has no cc size; Does this mean I can legally drive it without a Motorcycle Endorsement?
@aelenez6 жыл бұрын
Highly doubt it 😂 really depends on your state. But usually anything that can reach speeds higher than a certain point is considered a vehicle so it has to be registered as one. And it's a bike so you'd more than likely need an endorsement
@DustyStormVideos6 жыл бұрын
It is a motorcycle. Licensing has more to do with top speed than the propulsion method.

Have you had issues with overheat protection? Also, does programming the custom setting require a USB cable or can it be done wirelessly?
@Gertjuhhh936 жыл бұрын
About the custom setting. I have a 2015 SR and I can just connect with Bluetooth. I guess the 2018 model is similar
@scowler926 жыл бұрын
@@Gertjuhhh93 Hmm, that doesn't bode well from a security standpoint.
@XargsNotBombs6 жыл бұрын
@@scowler92 overheat is less of an issue due to IPM motors post-2016. For the programming, you need to bluetooth pair first. Pairing requires keying on, turning off the kill switch, and holding the mode button so it shouldn't be possible without physical access to key and bike. Even if you get access the only "write" access exposed in the app is the ability to tweak the "Custom" mode, everything else should be read-only stats, data, and logs (though I haven't looked at the over-the-wire protocol myself).
@scowler926 жыл бұрын
@@XargsNotBombs No backdoors? Nice. Someone was thinking ahead.
@DustyStormVideos6 жыл бұрын
No problems with overheating so far :) All custom settings are done with an App connected via blue tooth.

The brakes themselves don't regenerate if you go into customers you can set up the amount of regeneration when you let off the throttle but really only the rear wheel slowing you down as what generates power and it's only about 5 to 10% but anything's better than nothing. I really like them but they're overpriced in my opinion I'm going to wait and see what they come up with probably buy used
@DustyStormVideos6 жыл бұрын
Yes, the rear wheel is direct belt drive to the motor, the motor uses electricity or regenerates depending on throttle position and brakes.

Must replace the belt every 24,000 miles. The carbon material naturally wears and at a certain point essentially becomes just a rubber belt, and snaps. Could get 30k+ but theres no use risking it
