Lack of 4 wave forms is more likely a processing power issue. Same reason it probably still using usb2 while I know they same it’s more stable I just don’t believe that it’s likely they are using older weaker chips that struggle with the bandwidth. And having hotter processors may be a problem since you need to cool them

Ouch! $3,200 and you can’t even cache BT into one of the decks but the Opus-Quad can. Please tell me what’s wrong with this picture! Same goes for the Smart CUE.. The CUE ring light doesn’t match the Smart CUE pad color in Smart CUE as it does in the Opus-Quad. I hope future firmware will address these issues. The random crashing needs to be addressed as well. I’m just being honest. Again, I really like this controller. They should have left the Pioneer DJ name on it as it’s professionally recognized as being the club standard of excellence. 😊

So here’s the deal: music labels usually take a huge cut from recording artists - we’re talking 70-85% of their earnings, plus a chunk from things like merch and tours. The reason for that? Labels put up a lot of cash to help artists record, promote, and tour. But for Twitch DJs, it’s a whole different story. DJs don’t get any financial help from labels-they’re paying for their own equipment, doing their own thing, and bringing their own audience. When they play songs, they’re actually giving those tracks extra exposure, which helps labels and artists by driving new listeners to the music. So, for labels to ask DJs for 30-50% of their earnings just feels off. DJs are already adding value just by playing the music and getting people into it. A better system would be for DJs to pay a smaller, fairer fee. Like, what if DJs could just pay a per-stream fee? So, they pay a set amount to access a whole music library for that stream. Another idea is a flat-rate subscription, where DJs pay monthly or yearly to use licensed music however they want. These options keep costs manageable for DJs and still give labels their share. So bottom line? DJs don’t rely on labels for support, so they shouldn’t have to hand over big cuts. Smaller fees make it fair for everyone-DJs can earn a living, and labels still get paid.

@@TweakMusicTips Sold my current gear (CDJ2000/DJM800) a few months back due to shifting focus in my personal life. But I have had Gemini CD8500/PS727, Denon DN2600, Pioneer CDJ1000 and DJM 600 through the years as well as Technics SL1200/1210. If I were to buy a new line of gear, I would rebuy CDJ2000 (Need those CD's) instead of CDJ3000, or the Denon Prime 4+.

@@joaquinrodriguezsala740 way easier! One knob encoder like the Z2 mixer. Push On/off to engage the loop. Turn the knob to increase or decrease loop. Hold shift to enable active loop. Hold shift and turn the knob to beat jump. Turn on slip mode for easy loop tricks. Super easy! Pioneer makes too much work with extra buttons. Too confusing on the spot.

For me, it's overkill. I have two, Rev 7s. One for my home setup, that I never want to continuously breakdown and resetup after gigs. So the 2nd one is always packed in it's flight case, ready to grab and go. Here around Chicago, House Music rules! So I've started to stick with that, because it's thriving like it is! House music from Africa, Europe and here in the US is amazing, with so much new music, everyday being dropped! So the Rev 7 is more than what I need to bump House Music, which other than Stems & Filter, there isn't a whole lot to utilize! House is definitely about, just play the music they love and be able to beat match & blend well. It's not about, scratching and juggling! That's the key, buying a controller for what you use and need! Spending money for a whole lot of features you never need or use, doesn't make sense.

Hi everyone!! I'm Dj Atley Live and had just bought rane performer awsome!! One thing the 33 rpm and 45 rpm it starts by default on 33 rpm but the plattes are 45 so everytime after first boot I have to put it on 45!! Other wise the tracks are playing slow!!!

@TweakMusicTips ultimately this is about the greed of the labels and of twitch. I have talked to several producers and they don't see any of this money. DJs provide free exposure and promotion of songs especially for artists that aren't main stream in charts. This just craps all over them.

Good morning. When applying the sticker on the platter, is the goal to line the sticker up with one of the 'notches' and, if so, which one? The notch, or white marking, at 12 o'clock or the notch at 2 o'clock? Or does it simply not matter where I place it? Thanks in advance!! Actually, the new update with Algoriddim the Rane four works flawlessly, display and all. I wondered if any one who has the performer and the most recent update with djay pro could try it out and let us know if it works. I would imagine the hardware and buttons all work, but probably the display won’t show up as it is more high-tech on the performer.
