The Tv Station map, before you can hoist the flag, you would come across the broadcasting room for the news reports/propaganda of the soviet, there would a special female agent with the Bizon smg, pretty sure that isThe news reporter. Happily received a full mag of AK from me, during my first play through 20 years ago

Amazing retrospective. One minor mistake was that the Machine Gunner first appears in Desperate Revenge, still you will not see him if you try to snipe Tatarin instead of attacking the guards under his balcony.

FLOATING IN THE AIR. The game had already bugs like that when it was brand new in 2003 As others already have stated the game became a new actuality with the war in the Ukraine. There is much talk among fans of FREEDOM FIGHTERS about a fallow up. In a way FALL OF LIBERTY and WORLD IN CONFLICT came closest in style and sturcture eve though it was about a German Invasion of NY. To me the game reminds me a lot at the Pilote of the success TV series SLIDEERS when the team landed in a Russian occupied San Francisco. 32:58 It depense it you have watched some spy movies from the Sixties and Seventies or not. There such a move was common as in the novel and the movie version AVELANCHE EXPRESS or TELEPHON - worth watching

Very small correction: On day 1 there are never any discrepancies beyond having to deny all foreigners. Also, moving to better apartments lowers the cost of heat and the very best apartment has free heat. There's also a really neat detail where Jorji's valid passports all have the game's current date and a past year as his date of birth and his passport number has less digits than all others, clearly indicating that all his passports are fake, but you can't do anything about it because they're valid according to the system that's in place.

Pro tip. If there is any discrpeancy you dont have to check you can just deny and the game will count it as a correct denial. You can plow through ppl this way like 20 per day. Tho detaining is fun so sometimes ill slow it down just for that lol. EDIT: I typed this around the 21 min mark and you went on to address this almost immediately

So if I do make a video on Kane & Lynch; it'll probably be a while. I'm curranty working on another BIG video. I also have other projects lined up. Including a retrospective of another cult hit franchise.

Omg I remember this game was so good and I had so much fun what made biggest impression on me is that squad system that is so simple and yet so effective with almost 0 glitches. Also graphics was very nice and I remember my PC struggled with many FPS games in that time that somehow had worse graph than FF but this game was very smooth. Strange thing is although I was a lot in FPS games in that time I never heard about it and run in to it by luck, some kid was selling CD of it out on street... If any, this game deserves sequel and I would not mind if they dont change anything in it but just add more maps. Maybe we go to England, France, Germany,... and in third we go to Russia or something like that :D We should somehow organize and make them do it haha You made nice video of this game and one point I dont really remember and probably I missed is saving Isabella although played it so many times, but hey I could just get it and go do it what I probably will soon

22:00 I remember there was an ex border inspector that came that just want to be rejected. “So that’s how it feels” she said. Then she did mentioned that her country use computers now, more efficient. And for the detaining. It was fun to get some extra money but found out that everyone I process. Either approve or denied properly will be 5 credits regardless. So it’s more economical sense to just deny. But the guard will keep coming to the booth and “you didn’t detain enough, no money for you”

If in this universe the USSR has conquered all of Europe, and has effectively taken over America... then why are there even POW's? Something tells me they wouldn't give a crap about the Hague or Geneva if they were that dominate of a force. POW's would just be executed, as there is no political reason to keep them around.

I think one of the news broadcasts mentioned something about famous American TV personalities being taken to "re-education camps" in Alaska. So maybe it has something to do with that.

This game featured a couple of funny and interesting exploits, one of the most notable ones was farming charisma on POW prisoners using medkits, that one depended on medkits on the map, but it made me able to get all the way up to level 10 charisma (and I was probably at 12 by the desperate revenge level) , the exploits of this game are very memorable to me.

So I meant to leave this comment a while ago, but I got distracted, and then something recently reminded me of this. So sorry it's late - I watched this is parts, and there are a lot of things I agreed and disagreed with, and time has eroded a lot of these from my memory. But there is one glaring thing that stuck out in my mind that I think you got wrong. But I don't want you to see this as the one takeaway I had, it's just the part I remember most. The section(s) where you talk about the logistics of Mel's whereabouts being unexplained is actually based on one detail that I think is a completely false premise - that Mel's interrogation happened after she showed up at the aquarium. Nora doesn't specify a time that the interrogation happened beyond saying that "once Isaac found out [Abby] left base." The logical explanation for that is he questioned Nora, Manny, and Mel at the FOB some unspecified time after Abby deserted. Here's my logical breakdown of the sequence of events: Abby, Nora, Mel and Manny are at the FOB. Abby finds out about Owen/Danny. Abby gets her orders from Isaac, offers to find Owen, but Isaac says no. Abby skips town. Isaac comes looking for her, and realizes she left. He questions her friends present at the FOB - Nora, Mel, and Manny. Only Nora and Manny knew about the Owen/Danny incident, Mel did not. She would have learned about Owen killing Danny and his ex-girlfriend deserting the WLF during the interrogation. We know Isaac can be ruthless when questioning people, but it's not likely he would have tortured them as they're on his team, but it would have been intimidating. But that coupled with receiving all of this distressing news would dominate Mel's thoughts, surely. This all would be happening during the time you're playing as Abby before she gets knocked out. Mel would have likely stuck around all day to help tend to the injured as her duties as a medic would have required, then hitched a ride with one of their regular convoys back to her home at the stadium. Even if that would have required a special transport, her status as a pregnant mother would likely have assured she could go back home. That night, Abby is knocked out and strung up by the Seraphites, she escapes, makes her way to the Aquarium, has sex with Owen, wakes up and leaves to go get Lev and Yara. It is some time during that morning that Mel would have snuck out of the stadium and gone to the aquarium. Keep in mind the perilous path that Abby took was from the FOB, an unspecified location from an apartment or office building somewhere. Judging from the angle of the Ferris wheel from the rooftop view after the first cutscene, and that there is a Chinatown sign on one of the buildings and the first locations you pass through are Chinese businesses, this would be somewhere to just the east/northeast of the stadium, southeast of the aquarium. Mel would have left from Lumen Field, so she would not have taken Abby's path, so it's quite probable that her walk there would be far less dangerous. Couple that with the fact that Lumen Field is about 1 mile away from the Seattle Aquarium in real life, the idea that a pregnant woman and a dog could make that trek doesn't seem too far fetched. That and the fact that she has gone there regularly, because that's where she and Owen hung out in private, she'd have memorized a good, secluded pathway to get there. By the time Abby gets back with Lev and Yara, Mel is there, and from there she never leaves. Abby goes to get the medical supplies, when she shows up at the hospital Nora tells her about the interrogations. Nora asked how Mel was doing, because as close friends, Mel would have disclosed her intention to dip out and find Owen at the aquarium. During the time at the hospital is when Owen would have told Mel about him cheating on her with Abby, because Owen is too honest and is craving a clean slate in life. He probably told Mel about the cheating as well as his intent to run away and leave her behind to be a single mother among the WLF. Yara also probably explained their situation to Owen during this time, which is why he offered to take them with him on the boat. Then after the surgery, Mel is super short with Abby because at this point she knows about the cheating. Also, Mel put on the puffy coat after the surgery. She's wearing it when Lev runs away. Probably because they were planning on fixing the boat and packing up and leaving. Anyway, it's honestly not that big of a deal, but you went into great detail about why Mel's location in the story didn't make logical sense, and I did not find it to be that implausible.
@clockwolf43592 жыл бұрын
I suppose that could make sense. But if Mel was interrogated by Isaac before arriving at the aquarium. Then why didn't she tell Abby and Owen that Isaac already knew she was missing when she was going to the hospital base? Especially since she didn't know about the cheating yet? The way it was set up in the writing lead me to believe that Abby showed up to the hospital base, told the guards that she needed to get something for Isaac, the guards called Isaac on the radio to check, and that's when Isaac learned that Abby was AWOL. IDK. I feel like we may be overthinking this a little. But still...
@CorruptedSave2 жыл бұрын
@@clockwolf4359 Well, we don't really know how long Mel had been there. The medical issues may have been a more pressing topic of conversation. Additionally, Mel is very distant from Abby post-Joel-murder. If she was deserting the WLF for Owen, she may have been very withholding about anything concerning Abby. As for the hospital events - I think it is likely Isaac is not broadcasting to everyone that one of his top ranking people is AWOL right before a big operation. Probably told the people who knew to keep their mouth shut until he could figure something out. So when she shows up at the hospital saying Isaac told her to get supplies, they probably were thinking "Hey we're already gathering supplies for Isaac, this is weird, maybe there are new orders?" So they call Isaac and say "Abby's here and she says you asked her to bring supplies, we want to see if that's true or if there's a change of plans" and Isaac is like "Abby's there? She's AWOL. Arrest her and bring her to the FOB, I need to question her." Again, doesn't feel outlandish to me. To me what feels more outlandish is the idea that the Aquarium is a landmark so close to the stadium and yet remains a secluded hangout spot for one group of friends.

Haven't made it all the way through, but you've done a pretty good job with this video. One thing I keep noticing however is just how much you seem to be taking wholesale from other creators videos, parts of entire paragraphs or precise points and their phrasing strike me as things I've heard almost verbatim from other youtubers. It would be good to see in the future if you take inspiration from points other people have made, to rework them a bit into something more your own. Anyway don't get discouraged by low view counts, keep sharing your content around and working on it, you've obviously put a lot of work in here.

I remember playing this game when I was a kid and was sick and tired of GTA games. I was never into FPS war games but Freedom Fighters being a 3rd person action shooter got me hooked instantly. very nostalgic. brings back many good memories. I would like to see a remake of this game someday. IO Interactive has to do something else besides just Hitman games at some point. I've heard they will make a James Bond game or something? but I think the closest thing to Freedom Fighters these days might be Ubisoft's The Division games. or Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint.
