Lots of people asking so: To get your license go to here to the link below. You need a legit driving license in your own country, then just print out the page with your passport photo on, sign with your signature, and scan back in. This page is all you need to take and it will work if you get stopped. Also, if you don't want to get stopped, just leave Ha Giang early (6am) and return late. Did a search about this website and some say it's a phishing scam. I'd be wary about giving any info to this company. I'm an American so we're one of the unlucky few who cannot drive legally in Vietnam. I've heard of methods to get a fake license in VN but I'd again be wary of anybody offering those "services."

They were called ‘Ethnic Travel’ company and you just go and book with them in the shop in Liamg Namtha. It’s a very small town so easy to find 😊

You're right it's summit 2 which i mention. We were staying South of Rinjani so instead of driving round to the North we went to Summit 2, which is 300m less. It also has way less people on the track, which means we wer the first and only people up there for sunrise, which for us was the better option!

Hey mate, wondering how safe you felt during the driving on the loop? I’m hoping to do the loop in a couple of weeks but am slightly concerned that I’ve heard driving in Laos is worse than other places

Hi mate - felt fine and to be honest the roads weren't very busy except from the motorway, which could sometimes feel a bit scary with big trucks etc, but overall if you just drive slow and take it easy you'll be fine. Felt safer than vietnam for example, but not as safe as thailand. Go for it!

Haha i love the Laos music and the music videos are even better. Defo the greenest country I've ever been to, I think that's the good thing about being there during rainy season!
