Is that a sterling silver Ishimori vs a gold plated BG? Which ligature do you like better? The Ishimori has more harmonic frequencies especially the middle and higher one. The BG has a darker tone. I play on a gold plated BG and have been considering a solid silver Ishimori. I like the BG over my previous ligatures (Harrison, Bonade, Rovner Versa, Yani, and Selmer) but wondering if the Ishimori ligature is more flexible. When adjusted right with the BG- the altissimo is effortless. I’m still looking for more flexibility- and yes - i’ve been experimenting with different reed strength and adjustments. Thanks for a great cover. It will help in my decision making.
