It's was a normal before the mount kits hit the markets.

@@willieburkes3676 to allow the sound of the speaker to play through. Before rings were available we would make a template of the speaker opening and copy that onto the saddle bag and cover it with mesh . That process was too complicated for some shops and they would just drill a bunch of holes for the sound to play through .

Technically you need 2 4 gauge power wires minimum and 2 4 gauge grounds . You will need 250 - 300 amp fuse The issue is a single 4 gauge wire can only take 150 amps

Yes You have to cut the front of the radio bracket because the amp is wider than the factory .

@@jazz12351 no The factory amp Is still in there . We make a harnesses that gets signal from the factory amp

Since the 1400 was already in the front, are you now using it to push the 8s? If so is the 700 in the tourpack pushing the 6.5 and 6X9s? Great install great sound, I’m still worrying about my bags leaking in a storm.

@ with the 1400 dsp amp it’s not flexible enough to have 4 output dsp channels Only 2 So we had to have the 1400 do the 6.5 and the 6x9s and the 700 to run the 8s

This setup is louder and has more mid bass than the stage 3 Rockford

Needs crossover . The crossover is included in the box . Unless you are using a dsp and running the tweeter and woofer on separate amplifier channels
