I have the same one still in Macedonia. It actually says KE40 on the inside, and it does differ from the KE30 a little, especially in the front grill. Still kudos to you bro!

If my assumptions are correct that this is in Singapore, just out of curiosity, how expensive is it to own and run classic cars like these over there?
@Yippeedee
@Yippeedee 2 жыл бұрын
The bulk of the cost is purchasing the vehicle because price of cars still remains the highest in the world largely due to the COE system which I’m assuming you’re familiar with and if you’re aren’t, a quick search will get you some answers. In terms of keeping it in running order, parts are generally sourced online and even eBay. Not a lot of luck locally.

Nostalgia is the best word to describe this. It’s not only about a car but how some things in life are pivotal vessels of our memories - be it grief, loss, and love. I love the storytelling - how it starts with the car and arched its way to poignancy. The cinematography and direction were crucial in bringing the nostalgia effect to life. This interview didn’t have anything flashy in it. However, the simplest treatment produces the grandest and powerful effect on an audience bringing humanity in its raw form. Really well done!

My dad had a KL plate w210. Sold it when it had 520,000km on the dash. E280 V6. Year 2000 model so it had all the goodies u come to expect from a w210 years before it got replaced by the w211. Now we have a w211. Nice ride but the w210 always has a more than special place in my heart.

These were popular here in Australia in the 70s and 80s. My family had a '77 2 door Coupe and later the 4 door model like this. The early Corollas were very dependable, and I saw lots of them up until the mid 2000s. I rarely see anything from the 70s anymore, or even the 80s.

Japan had just entered the industrial revolution and we're competing with a giant (USA). These car was a strip down copy of the camero for middle and lower class. Reason why they were dependable was because Japanese adopted this system of constant upgrade to make it even more better ideology.

That's a really nice restoration. One slight nitpick: The front fenders are mismatched. The distance between the bottom edge of the turn signal and the bumper illustrates this. Such a tiny detail, but pretty common, if you know about the difference in the fenders from each era. Also, if going for originality, the body below the chrome trim line should be painted flat black. The leather seats look really nice. Outstanding car.
